This has been a most fortuitous winter for us. February starts tomorrow and we haven't had to shovel even once. What little we get just blows away by the end of the day. My cabin fever, unfortunately, doesn't stem from the weather.

Lookin' at temps above freezing for the foreseeable (until the weekend  :icon_confused: ) future.

Onepoint

Well sounds like the fun is over, we have a blizzard warning up for us starting tonight, with snow going until Saturday morning sometime.  Which is great timing since the RC auction in Denver is this weekend, and I pre registered.  :disgust:

balsum fractus

ooooo...that is bad timing...  maybe  the forecast will be wrong.....maybe.....

Your blizzards turned into a whole lot of rain here.  Been wet for four days now, supposed to keep up for a few more.  At least it's not cold.  We'll have a bumper crop of mosquitos this spring for sure.

balsum fractus

not a cloud in the sky...very spring-like out there.....

.....Only means the payback will be severe and ruthless.....................

Five solid days of zeerow viz fog here finally broke about an hour ago. Supposed to get winter this week, but "they"'ve been so wrong this last year that I'll wait to see...

Onepoint

Well I guess it was not meant for me to get to the auction this year, roads were bad on Sat morning still,  so I waited until Sunday to go down, its a 2 day auction and usually they push to get out of the event center on time on Sunday after noons, this year they were done by 10:30 AM on Sunday, which sucked since I got there  about 11.  :disgust:

Now they are talking below normal temps and snow showers off and on all week.

More rain today.  And yesterday.  And tomorrow.  All those blizzards you guys have been getting are melted by the time they get here!

We are back to our usual quota of the wet stuff. Must be the reason they call it the evergreen state instead of the ever brown state. :eusa_think: :eusa_think:

We got our first quarter-inch of snow in a long time last night. I'm now told that we're in a drought. OK then Roger & Joyce, move it over and pass the canteen...

40s again today...The Guessers are predicting snow every day but Friday this week. We've been blessed that there's been no need to shovel a flake this winter, as they only started letting me excercise my shoulder day before yesterday. The process is excruciatingly slow. By the time my shoulder is good to go it will be time for something else to fall off... :disturbed:

Onepoint

Yeah we are in that winter doll drum thing, cold and windy broken up by cold and snowy, but just enough to make roads slick and not really make anything wet for long.  I have been wanting to fly the new plane, but the runway needs some blading, but its dry enough that if I touch it it will blow off when it dries out.

It is still unusually mild here, although it snowed all day today (a whopping 4" !!) there is virtually no accumulation of snow. That is going to spell big trouble later on with no moisture in the soil (for the farmers) and probably another nasty fire season.....

balsum fractus

Belay that...we now got a blizzard.

Stetto...looks like it's heading your way.....

Yup. It's h-eeeeee-eeeere...

I amend this to say that this is the first legitimate snowstorm we've seen here this year. The idiots at the "weather centers" even up to last night were claiming that it would miss us way to the north. We are, of course, smack dab in the middle of it, with more (supposedly much more) coming on Tuesday, which is "supposed" to hit us dead on. I expect that one to hit Iowa...
