Dust.  Its been so dry here the roads are all powder, worse now that they are combining corn and trucks rolling up and  down them, and a fine silt is covered everything inside and out. I can understand how the dustbowlers felt when it would sift into everything.

Sounds like we might get some wet and cold early next week, if we get enough the silt turns to slop, fun times.  Though I will believe it when I see it.

Rain.  And a lot of it.  Been raining here for the past three days and there's another hurricane in the Gulf heading who knows where.  The weather guessers say the cold front hitting will keep it away.  It is a little cooler than usual, 68 right now, but still eight degrees away from parka weather!

The temps sort of say we are in late fall, but we sure have not seen the weather to confirm it so far. We had a day of drizzle that settled dust for a day, and that it, now they are talking snow showers for the next day or so, but nothing to measure.  I don 't really care for winter but I'm hoping for kind of wet soon.

Nieve, and lots of it.

4 inches with 4-? more forecast from now to tomorrow night. Then more on Friday. Maybe some more on Saturday...

It's OK, I gots a shovel...you getting any of this Mr Honcho?

We got the cold, not the wet, 13 degrees this morning after a high in the mid 30s yesterday.  Tomorrow we get 80% chance of drizzle and snow showers through Sat, but no accumulation or measurable moisture.

Its starting to look dustbowlish here, silty sand everywhere, even mild wind blows it and a yellowish haze on the horizon everyday.  Drought monitor says we are in the extreme drought area, but I bet right here we qualify for the exceptional rating, I would have to go back through my posts, but I bet we have only got about 4 or 5 inches of rain since last March

Day-amn! We've got over 7 inches now and forecast at least that much more by tomorrow night.

Sorry for your dry, I'd glad truck some up for you, but every highway out of town is closed here...

Yeah I hear its pretty bad down that way, gets worse the further south and east you go from I-70.  I'm kind of dreading when it makes up for the dry up here.

We got a little bit of that, About a 1/2" of rain and a frosting of snow that's melting about as fast as it comes down but enough to make the ground white so far, never got below 34 and yet snowed, go figure.  At this point we'll take it no matter.

I just shoveled the driveway and front walk for the third time this morning. Wet heavy stuff this time (42° at noon). We live less than a mile from Peterson SFB, where they measured 19.5 official inches, +/- 2 inches of equivalent moisture for the last three days. Glad it's over, though I need the exercise.

7 foot snowdrifts were reported in Calhan, about 10 miles to the east. We used to get those several times every winter back in MN, my son tells me they haven't seen a flake yet this year...

We got 1/4" on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday for 3/4" total. No rain on Wednesday, but starting Thursday morning it really started raining. When I got up Friday morning we had 5.9 inches in the gauge, then got another 1.2" inches for 7.1 inches total. Creeks are running full, stocks tanks are full.

It's been getting cooler as the week progresses.  We broke some high temp records early on (upper 80s), but the low this morning was 58 and the daytime temps will be cooling into the 70s.  No rain, though.

We have had a stretch of some pretty nice weather, and I never thought I would regret that. Yesterday was calm and low 60s, I was out without a jacket most of the afternoon, which is odd for this time of year, in the past we have been down around zero at times right now.

Unfortunately, its as dry as I have ever seen it, we did get an inch of rain a couple weeks ago from that last storm, but now you would not know, the dirt roads are back to powder and all the ponds are drying up unless spring fed. The nice weather is supposed to end, and we have a chance at snow, but its not really slated to be much, if we get any, but it will get breezy and cold, how fun, cold and dry.  :eusa_doh:

I took out the garbage barefooted yesterday morning.

I have a 9:50am tee-time with the guys this morning.

The third weekend of November hasn't been this nice since we lived in Arizona... :disturbed:

A little unseasonal warm today,  must have drifted into the sun or something.  :icon_lol:
