80° and humid forecast for Christmas here. Bring it!

Dylan got here safely on Saturday afternoon, and is truly enjoying the break from 15 below.

Now that we're past the winter solstice I expect my peppers to commence to take full advantage of this great weather!

Wayne, glad you dropped by.

I guess I have been old a long time, as the wood stove and dog in my lap have always been a draw for me in cold weather.

Grand daughters sound amazing, what a blessing.

As to site access, is this blocked other than through the Ipad, or is it a password or something.  Gotta make it easier so you come say hi more often.  :icon_wink:

 anyway

Good to see ya.  We are doing good.  Getting ready for Christmas.  Supposed to be in the 80's for Christmas Day here!

Merry Christmas everyone!

Hi guys....just checking in .......which is a bit of a process as only my old ipad gives me access to this site. So I have to dig it out, and charge up the batteries, and somehow it remembers who I am. My newer devices won't do that.

Anyways, life is good. Everyone is healthy. Granddaughters are growing up and amazing me with how much they know at such a young age....they are both bilingual, the oldest taught herself how to read, writes in cursive and built a lego robot. The younger one is going to be stunningly beautiful when she grows up, but has a totally different personality with no filters. She soaks up things instantly...
The wife and I are slowing down, although I try and stay active with cycling and skiing. However, in this weather, sitting by the fireplace in my recliner with doggy on my lap is pretty attractive.....
Anyways, like I said, just dropped by to say "hi !" and wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Yesterday was a brisk wind compared to today, today we scoured everything off, had some honest brown outs, had to stop a couple times on the way to town because the road disappeared. Lots of trees and power poles down, not for us though fortunately. Still miserable, even for WY standards.

It's a Christmas miracle! I lost 1 (one) pepper plant!

Maybe a Texas freeze is different from every where else  :eusa_think:

We also had a half dozen packages on the porch since last Saturday THAT WERE STILL THERE LAST NIGHT!

The weather was 30° warmer than when we left the Springs, but a hella wind blew us all the way home. A friend in Divide CO was getting 124 mph gusts! Makes me wonder how the Buckaroo fared yesterday...?

Oh, and I'm really sorry Carl, we passed right through Abilene but we're on a mission to get home in a day, which we did. I'll get there soon enough!

Sorry to hear that all stetto.

Looks like we will have a warm dry windy Christmas here as well if the forecast holds.

My peppers died alone and friendless in Pflugerville on Monday morning. We're here in Colorado Springs for a funeral, the whole week a total chaos of spontaneous crying, spontaneous laughing, drinking, drinking, drinking.

The ceremonies were unbelievably dignified and awe inspiring. The grieving process here is insane and perpetual. I'm going to visit a childhood best friend who has stage 4 bladder cancer and fighting to stay alive tomorrow morning. We leave for home and dead peppers Thursday, OH God thirty. Dylan flies down Saturday.

But like Jaime says, toasty for the foreseeable. Joy.
