Title: Out behind the house
Post by: stetto on September 29, 2012, 08:05:30 AM
They'd just cut soybeans the day before.

Dunno if it's the dry weather or not, but we don't see this kind of thing around here. DNR guy tells me to keep an eye/ear out for timberwolves this winter, and that since they're off the MN endangered list I'm allowed to "protect my livestock"...

I bet this guy would taste better though; a young bull with what looks like his first rack...

Heh, we have had moose sightings here too, one was seen just a couple miles away, and they had one hand around a small lake in NE near Scottsbluff for a few days.  I don't know when the last time there was moose around down here, but the lake and streams are down to nothing in the mountains I hear, so they are saying to keep an eye out for all kinds of wildlife, like meese and elk, but also cats and bears down in the plains.

Speaking of the house, I finally got around to changing the color...

From the hues of cold, slow death

To something a little more alive

Got a cold snap the day after I got done with body color, so the trim colors (as yet undecided) will be applied in Spring.

And yeah, that nastii 'lectric pole is getting yanked as well...

Nice choice. My wife wants to paint ours, kind of a mocha color.  I would settle for a new roof fist though.

Since we are talking bout dat,  do you have to do anything special to paint stucco?

Yeah Eric, Invite me down. Buy the sauce, I'll put it on for the good time.

I spent 10 years in Phoenix specializing in stucco. Key word: ELASTOMERIC (notice the "eric")

Dude, we need the vacation, and I LOVE painting stucco. Next Spring, then?

If we can shoot for the 1st week in June I think it will make Mama's tail wag too. She has a wedding to attend in CO that week.

I'll bring brushes for everybody...

Stetto, mi amigo, I'm truly disappointed in your choice of colors.  All that time you spent in my neck of the woods and that's the best you could come up with?  I was hoping to see lilac with the lime green trim and purple shutters..... :disturbed:

Well here's your opportunity to color up Chateau Honcho ....

...and while you are there, I know some people who can hook you up with a visit to the Fubar worldwide corporate headquarters  :icon_biggrin:

You guys firm up the date for the "Gathering of the Can" and I will be there with my pit.  I have mastered a couple of more tasty recipes.  I will make sure everyone is well fed.

Carl
