I was at the folks' yesterday, helping install handrails in Mom's shower, and we started hearing HUGE explosions in the fields west of the house. Windows rattling, teeth rattling, Mom rattling. So thee olde Mann and I drove down to see if stumps were being removed or some kids got hold of a case of dynamite.
Neither. The next door neighbor had a case of Tannerite, a 30-06, a .243 and about a dozen friends making fun boom-boom @ 500 yds. I'd never heard of the stuff but after dad's neighbor handed me the .243 and let me blow some sh** up I want to do it a lot more often!
...And I didn't waste even one shell (he was using Hornady ammo).
Heheh, I have only watched it go off. My neighbors already think I am nut job rolling up and down the road with the evil black rifle in the handle bar gun rack, so I don't push my luck, besides I am too cheap. Some guys really get carried away, I watched a video of someone using lbs of it and destroyed a car.
But God bless America where the explosions going off are not because someone doesn't worship the prophet some believe in the right way.
Was out at my cousin's house about a month ago. Got my first taste of the tannerite that they were shooting. Pretty cool :disturbed: :disturbed: They enjoyed my night vision scope too.
I spend money foolishly here and there, well, everywhere. But not sure I want to pony up approximately 20 bucks a bang.
