Mine was full of labor, as usual.
We have been forced to finally fix our house, as some of you know it was half stucco that someone started and did not finish. Insurance decided not to insure it anymore until that was fixed and a new roof. So I have been slowly tearing off the stucco and Shake shingle siding under it to put on new siding. Uhg is all I will say. I should have done this 20 years ago before my get up and go got up and went.
Hrmmmmm, know what you mean. Been bouncing from fire to fire on this house for five years, no end in sight. And. I. Am. Slow.
On the other hand, by the time I'm done (I will be 80) I should be the equal of the best carpenters, tilers, concrete guys, floor installers, window installers, drywallers, electricians, roofers, insulators, excavators, landscapers, gutter installers, plumbers, appliance repairmen, and I may even remember how to swing a paint brush...
Labor Day, however, was wet. Thanks for asking.
Sorry to hear all you guys are hip deep in home improvements. I've got a fence to fix and painting to do, but it can wait until it gets cooler down here.
Our oldest son and his wife came from Florida for a visit. They're expecting their first child (our fourth grandkid) in December, so the Christmas holiday just got expanded. I'm on vacation this week, so we spent the first couple of days with the rest of the grandkids and the entire family. We don't all get together often, so it was a pretty good time. Got a few more plastic models done, but haven't done any RC stuff in quite a while.
Official disclaimer - this thread may now continue.... :disturbed:
Speaking of labor... youngest daughter had her 4th baby this labor day weekend. We spent the weekend in Denver as that is where she had her. This is our 9th grandchild.
I'm thinkin next Christmas a case of ermmmm Trojans may be cheaper than this other stuff :icon_mrgreen: :icon_redface: for the stocking stuffers
Heheh, yeah, explain that one to the kids when mom pulls those out of the stockings. Congrats all the way around.
Home improvements......sigh...... Lots of projects awaiting my attention :icon_frown: but took a rare break from working and went camping for the weekend. Not surprisingly, all projects were still here when we got back home..
