Post by: Onepoint on May 07, 2017, 08:43:29 AM
I know some of you didn't know, but our Carl had a scare the other day and was in the hospital getting heart tests done on him.   I guess you lived eh Carl?  8)

Yes sir, doing good they said. Felt like I was trying to have a heart attack. Drove myself to the Vets office that Billie Sue works at and had her take me to the EMS station. They hooked me up, ran an ekg, pulse was 96, bp was 194/136! Took me to the ER, they ran another keg, and drew blood to test for heart attack enzymes. Everything was fine, pulse came down to 64, bp came down to 124/78.

Already had a yearly checkup with my cardiologist for Wednesday the 26th. So they scheduled me for a stress/echo on the 25th. Did the stress test, and saw the cardiologist. She said my labs were great, I smoked the stress test! Couldn't tell me what happened! Keeping a BP log now, and go back May 26th. May need a BP med change.

Since then, been busy trapping feral hogs. Caught 177 in April, and caught 61 on May 1st.

Gllad the heart scare was just that, Carl.

And leave a pig or two for those of us without feral hogz to hunt! A butcher buddy of mine would like to drive down and take some home, just working on timing. Hope you don't mind if I bring a friend (he's my main meat guy).

Gotta go visit the Honcho first. :icon_wink:

Take care of that ticker, mang!

Texas has more feral hogs than any other state, and they reproduce like rabbits. Current population is estimated at 3 million. I actually have a contract with the county to trap them. Currently running 4 30' corral traps that are cellular monitored and activated. They have motion sensors on them and CCTV cameras, when pigs go in, the motion sensor activates the camera. Then the cellular modem sends the picture to my phone. After I shut the gate on them, I take my pick-up and trailer, and haul them to a state approved buying station. The buying stations buy for slaughter houses. The slaughter houses process them, and the majority are shipped to Europe and Asia for human consumption.
