Title: I, last night, at the urging of my wife, bought a device that blows...
Post by: Frazz on November 15, 2009, 10:09:32 AM
snow offa das sidewalks.  Yes, we might get a snow for a change, first good one in a few years.  We supposed to get 5-9 inches o dat stuff today, then maybe another inch or so tonight.  I remember last time we had a good snow ( I dont think I had gray hair then  :eek5: ) I almost got a heart attack from all the shoveling.  Then it seemed like every day for 10 days the wind would blow the area I shoveled back full again. :eusa_wall:

So's we talked ourselves into a little road trip yest afternoon and went and got groceries and said blowing device.

Ground is covered now and cant see very far either.  Whoooooooooooo

Aw dang!! The good news is that we are sending a high pressure area down your way - after we have finished using it, of course.....It is unseasonably warm up here..motorcycles are still out, and so are the golfers, joggers, dog walkers, etc etc...

My defense against OMW ( old man winter...) was to buy a canopy for the truck, so now I can blend in with the urban cowboys, and keep my 'spensive hitch from getting wet.......

we had about an inch or 2 over the last couple days, but sure was nice to have wood under the new porch roof nice and dry. :)

We are sharing Nony's high pressure area--Highs in the upper 40s...Local paper says we're in for the mildest winter in decades...Alamanac sez coldest in decades...Guess who I believe. :eusa_think:

Frazzy, make sure you keep 0-30 wt oil in your blower. You may thank me one day... :notworthy:

I just put the oil in it that came with it.  Think the little bottle said 5-30? or something close to that... who knows maybe 5-20.  I already threw the bottle away so I cant go look and I umm  are too lazy to go out to the garage and see what the owners many youal says.   I did read it said to change oil in about 5 hours so I'll prolly give it a few workouts and then put in some of what you recommended.  Afterall :disgust: :disgust: a guy only needs one outside when its cold enough for major shrinkage and blue something or another, besides my fingers and toes freezing off.

here is the cheapie one I bought.  Ole frazz bought the cheapest one that he could find that was non electric.  It worked anyway, and these things are not cheap.  For what I paid for this one I remember a guy coulda got a 5-8 hp blower and mighta been 2 stage also.
