Title: Post Office Blues
Post by: stetto on June 17, 2020, 02:32:55 PM

Yep, I called the manufacturer. They said it's "never happened before". That was when I hung up on them before I said something that would guarantee no more cooperation.

How many times must a parcel depart a facility before it's considered departed? Heck, it only arrived the once... :eusa_think:

Maybe Vicki could pull a string and show the pilot of that cargo craft just where Podunk MN actually is....?

Maybe driver didn't shut the door and it fell out. Thus departing again. Them maybe he was so flustered he forgot to shut the door again and thus departing again.

I dunno🙂I'm just out riding tractor 12+ hours a day with nothing to do 🙂🙂

I doubt she will do you any good, knowing how they work if she inquires it will show up in Tampa FL.

But then I don't know if anyone else is any better, I ordered ammo, and UPS held it up due to rioting for 3 weeks in Ohio waiting for the rioters to get done I guess.  I was kind of thinking it may have been handy to have if there were rioters here.

It "departed" Honolulu again at 10:56 pm last night. Someone at another site told me that the Oak Creek WI facility is the source of a huge amount of misdirected mail.

Wow, yeah. Forgot to update...It arrived about three days after my last post, it had been opened but all there.

I just can't understand how the post office runs in the red.

The only US government that actually pays for itself and makes a bit of profit is AMARC, the guys who run the boneyard at Davis Monathon AFB in Arizona.  Apart from storing and recovering parts for use on our rapidly becoming obsolescent military aircraft fleet, they also recycle and sell aluminum, old airplanes and their components, and other scrap metals.

How is it that USPS, with an unlimited taxpayer budget can't get a letter coast to coast in less than a month, but Amazon can have a package to my the door the day after I order it?

Don't know about now, but when I worked in UNICOR (Federal Prison Industries), we were the only government entity that operated solely on our earnings. We received absolutely no taxpayer dollars.

I was told that OSHA operated solely on fines they levied.
