After months of not filling the diesel, I relented, having to use it. Its $5.30 for diesel and $4.15ish for gas. 20 gallons in the truck was $110 :disgust:
Gas here is $4.11 in my neighborhood, but a few miles up the road it's $4.20. Can't figure out why it varies so widely from area to area. Diesel is running about $5.20. I got a good laugh after finding out that 87 octane avgas is $5.80 a gallon at my usual hangout airport, while my brother in Kalifornia is bitching about $6.50 gas out there!
We pay by the litre up here......buuuuuut, ir works out to $6.71 US per US gallon!!!
.....that's on the wet coast where we are visiting.......considerably cheaper back home....
We were under $4 for a long time, then started creeping/galloping last week. We're @ $4.50 at the moment, but it may go up a nickle today.

Went up to $4.43 since yesterday for regular. 30 cents in a day. Want to kill an economy, this is how it happens.
I was wrong. We went from $4.499 in the morning to $4.699 by 5:00 pm yesterday.
The band I just signed on to rehearses in a mountain town called Florissant, about an hour up hill.
I feel somewhat doomed....

I just looked on gas buddy, its $4.48 this morning and saw a story over the weekend WY should brace for $6 gas later this summer.
I saw a story from a state based news site Cowboy state daily, I call cowboy statist daily, quoting a petroleum wholesaler in Chyenne that $6 gas is a certainty. this summer.
Things keep going like they are and the morons in DC will have to go to the dinner parties in a hardened bunker chauffeured in APCs, formal wear will be body armor.
$4.58 today, 10 cents over night.

Oil is only $120 a barrel, so there has to be some sinister plot somewhere to keep the prices so artificially high.....
Gas actually dropped this week, down to $4.49 in most places. Premium, for those people dumb enough to have cars that need it, is $5.03.
I'm thrilled that our country's head moron enjoyed his beach vacation because I've had to cancel all of mine.
We stayed at $4.58 for now.
I have been told I am just dumb, and don't "get" what is going on because oil companies set gas price, and should be taxed more so they produce on their dry leases so the price will come down because they are intentionally not producing at an all time record high oil price.
I can imagine how they see the secret meeting of the oil companies star chamber going like this.
"Well OK, we made enough money, lets not produce anymore, we don't need any more billions"
"Yeah, and lets go ahead and pay for a bunch more leases we won't use too"

Went up here 10 cents again yesterday, to $4.69, I saw one station had not raised it yet so I slipped in and stole 7 gallons for measly $4.58.
Just filled up Billie Sue's car, $4.47 a gallon. 16 gallons/$75.00
The economy must be improving. $4.44, and it's been that way a whole three days now!
Yeah, they must have broke the number changer here too, we have stayed at 4.69 for few days straight, probably lulling us into a false sense of security, that just when we have sold a kidney to both eat and put gas in they pull the rug out.
Just so you feel better about your situation....we are paying the equivalent of $5.52 per us gallon.
Despite the price, it has not reduced traffic volumes around here....
It seems to have impacted some here, but it's hard to tell since we don't have massive traffic anyway. I still don't think there is near the traffic at normal peak times, though I tend to avoid going to town then out of habit. I don't see as many people from out of state. I think it's cut down on the people who would take out of the way road trips. I don't see a lot guys rolling smoke now either. :icon_smile: Used to be a race between the speedometer and the fuel gauge, now its a race between the fuel gauge and the bank account balance.

My truck hasn't moved since late April. T has a "turbo" :eusa_eh: 4-banger in her Cherokee. So naturally it only has a 12 gallon tank.
She still fills it every week. $4.999
Heh, we are still down to 4.68, Morrill NE which is just 10 miles across the border is $4.75. I had to buy a battery today for Vicki's mail jeep, I thought heck I will just go to Oreilleys or Bomgaars (a local farm store), batteries were $219 and $180 respectively, so I bit my lip and went to Walmart and bought a $150 one instead. :eusa_doh:
Car batteries got really expensive really quickly. Just had to replace one in Pat's car a few months ago that should have been $220, but there was still warranty left on the old one, so the parts guy did a little finagling and it cost me......nothing! Better to be lucky than good.
Gas is now $4.35 here in beautiful downtown Uhhhmmble, TX. Just got back from a road trip home to El Paso, highest price I saw there was $4.80.
Gas and fuel is holding here at $4.69 and $5.30 respectively so far. Still hurts to fill up the ones near E and be close to 100 bucks, or fill the diesel wonder if I can grow a new kidney after I have to sell one to cover it.
Everything has went up. I bought batteries last year for just under $100, and grumbled. Had to buy not one but 2 last week, I declined the $220 ones at O'Rielly's opted to go to walmart for the $150 ones that were under $100 last year. it was only about 3 years ago or so I could buy batteries for around $70. th walmart ones less than that. Anything steel has jumped a lot, bearings that used to cost around 25 bucks you can expect to be $60 -$75 now. Tires, especially some tractor tires nearly tripled in price in 3 years. And a lot of this stuff is limited supply so its mostly all shipped in, or worse, you have to wait until a import shipment arrives. I don't know how they factor inflation, but that's a bit more than 8% according to my math. This keeps up, Amercis is going on the Venezuela diet plan.
A bit of a surprise on the road home today - regular gas in Schulenberg TX was $3.69 per gallon. It's $4.19 here at home.
We actually came down a nickel, I have a vague memory of 3 dollar range gas.
Down to 3.86. $1.86 is what I vaguely remember....

Don't know why you're complaining...we're paying the equivalent of $5.21 US per US gallon!! .....and it is local oil!! That has not stopped people driving, though.....

Filled up for $4.02 this morning.
We should be complaining because we're exporting all the oil we should be keeping for our own use, and buying the stuff from people who don't like us. If that isn't bass-ackwards, I don't know what is.

You guys notice a price increase lately? Ours jumped up 30 cents a litre or 84 cents a gallon for you guys in just a week!
Filled up a few days ago for $2.73. Hope it stays like that for a while. Still a far cry from the $1.85 I was paying just before the new regime came in.... :disgust:
We are still at $3.70 according to gas buddy, last time I was in town I paid $3.79. Oil is dropping like a rock, I don't know why its going higher up there aside from some climate change surcharge bull crap.
