My daughter came home for her birthday over the last weekend, talked me into going up on Scottsbluff National monument for a little walk. The temp wasn't so bad, in the high 40s, but the wind was absolutely howling, on my wind-o-meter here we were hitting mid to high 40s, it was faster in the open, and the bluff? On the windward side on top we literally could hardly stand up. :eek5:
None the less, it was pretty, if you could see it through the teary eyes as the wind blasted your eyeballs.

I can hear the wind!
I watched video of an F18 Superhornet taking off from a few hundred yards away and the wind drowned it out!
