Title: As Turkeys Go, Well...
Post by: stetto on November 27, 2025, 07:42:12 AM
It's a beautiful Thursday morning in south-central Texas, our landlords family is coming for dinner, and I'm smoking a 21 pound bird today.

Chins up, boys! And happy Thanksgiving to you all, even our resident Canadian!!

We're dining at youngest daughter's place today.  Son in law is smoking some Cajun seasoned turkeys, but I'm just waiting for the apple pies.  Cloudy and cool here, but it should clear up later.

Happy Thanksgiving to all Fubarians everywhere!

We decided to forego the traditional turkey and dressing.  We settled on a 30 day dry aged prime ribeye about 2 inches thick,  king crab legs, bacon wrapped asparagus and some scalloped potatoes. Going to have some chocolate crème pie for dessert.  Happy Thanksgiving my brothers!
