I'm afraid of owls...Fake or otherwise.

Yeah? Well I caught the gold fish out of the frozen over pond trying to sneak in and use the internet book a flight to Florida.  :icon_biggrin:

We get a bird or two a year try to come down the chimney in our fireplace.  Since we never use it, I just got a cover for the opening outside the house.  Think it's fun keeping birds out of the house?  Try getting one out of the house!

One of you northerners left the damn gate open again.  It hasn't been above 40 all week and it's raining / sleeting to boot.  My thongs are frozen onto the back porch  :eek5:  (and no, Frazz wasn't in them...)

ain't me.....believe it or not, we got rain!! Temps up 48 degrees since Saturday - unbelieveable!!!!

Is it true that water freezes when the temp drops below 60 in Texas???

stetto

Jaime, our part of Texas is predicted to have a high temp of -18 (f) next Monday. Y'all come on up and we'll go fishin'!

It's twue!!  It's twue!!

Stetto, by my calculation, based on the above quote, that would make your temp about 42 degrees.  Don't the fish freeze when it gets that cold?   :disturbed:

OOH, guys! It's blizzarding here!

No new snow, but the wind is kicking up some good whiteout stuff.

Gonna be -25 in the morning.

Tee Hee... we just got home from a cruise to Grand Turk, Dominican Republic, Curacao and Aruba.

We keep asking ourselves just wtf are we doing living in kansas with places like that around.  Oh I sure could get used to that cold ole 75 degree temp at night, then go splishy splashy all around in the 80-87 degree daytime temps.  Willemstad on Curacao was our favorite place out off all of them... although Aruba ... dadgum that is a nice place too.

Never want to go back to the dominican republic though, that is sure a bad place to be, at least at LaRomana where we docked at.  Our ship had some passengers get robbed.  We never left the port area ourselves as we just didnt feel safe.  A lady was on a tour bus just outside of the port area and stopped at a light.  A motorcycle rider and a passenger on the back of the cycle rode up to the bus, the passenger stood up on the bike, reached inside the bus ( it was an open air bus) and stole her necklace right off of her body, and injured her also on her throat area when he grabbed the necklace.  It all happened so fast no one had time to react and the cycle took off and was very quickly out of sight.
To understand true love, lock your dog and your wife in the trunk of your car for an hour and then see which one is glad to see you when you come back

Ocho Rios was a dark dirty dangerous place when we were there in '90. They had armed perimeters around the tourist markets. Not much of a vacation haven!

Speaking of the tropics, it's -26 right here, right now!

balsum fractus

roger that! OR is a pretty scary place!!

Whoo Hoo! 8 inches o' snow! Most we've gotten at once in two years...

Only took me 45 minutes to get the Chinese Honda clone on the snowblower to start--Glad I soaked the carb down with Sea Foam two years ago!
