Because I actually was flying the other day again.  :icon_biggrin: I lost track oif the time since last, but I think it was thois time laste year, and was 2 whole flights then.

Went out Monday and gave it heck, got 2 flights in with the citabria, showed off my skills of reborn novictiy. :icon_wink:  Then on the second landing and rolled out and started to turn around when the battery died. :eek5:.  That  was unbelievable luck since I was turning around to take off again. Felt good to get ouit and do it again, going to try and do some more before the weather turns sour.

Does feel good, doesn't it?  I've been going in spurts this year.  Been too hot to fly during the day for most of the summer, but the weather is getting better, so that should change.

I haven't done an ROG takeoff in a long time, though, as all my electrics are hand launch.  It's probably time to join the club again and get some practice in before I try to fly the Zero..... :eek5:  But it is nice to be able to just go a few blocks away and fly in the school yard.

Onepoint

Its funny how its all there still, can fly and make it look like I know what I am doing for the most part, but...that's scary when you point it down, that ground comes up awfully fast.  :eek5:    :icon_lol:

My workshop is virtually complete--Got the bench in, the pegboard is up and damm near full already, got a new light fixture installed over the bench (ok, not new, it's a 45 year old unit my dad gave me, but heck, the bulbs are still good!), all I have left to do is finish all the stuff Mama wants done first, like the livingroom, master bed, build a walk-in closet for the master bed, hang a couple of ceiling fans and a great number of new light fixtures...That's page 1...

...But I finally have an INSIDE workshop, and can start building Musyaks and such. :eusa_clap:

I'd post a pic, but the bench is...Uh...well, it's, uh...

Blue.

Oh man, once you get established in your little empire (aka shop....) there will be no end of what you can accomplish..... the trick is to keep der Frau from giving you other things to do.....
Tell her it is therapy....the doctor said it is good for your brain...you have to re-develop your motor skills..hand and eye coordination, etc etc etc......

I think Hell musta froze over....11 days without so much as a peep from anyone !!!!!!  :eek5:

stetto

I actually stop in more than a couple times a day, Nony. Thing is, I go through some spells where I'm RE-active, and spells where I'm PRO-active..."Mouth" gets tired... :disturbed:

Onepoint

I think it came close last night, 35 degrees :errrr:   But no, its just Fall.

Got busy again, left the Citabria in the way so I can cuss it every time I try to get something out of the plane room, not mention worthy.

QuoteBut no, its just Fall.

...and we are supposed to have the hottest day of the year tomorrow - 91 degrees! (I know it is not Wyoming hot, but up here that is torrid....

stetto

Oh how I could use a string of days in the 90s right now...

I should have invited all you guys up for a Gathering, if for no other reason than to con y'all into helping me get some stuff done around here before the freeze...

40s and drizzly, maybe low 60s during the day and an empty promise of 70s later in the week from the weather/liar guy...

Onepoint

Don't feel bad, been 50s and drizzly and I still have 1/2 of 3rd cutting to cut yet, and about 10 acres or so laying out soaking up this snain we are getting.

Every day they keep extending how long its going to stay around. Sunday it was supposed to be out by Tuesday,  Tuesday its supposed to be out on Thursday, this morning they said it may be in through Friday. If its next August and they tell me its going to be out by next September I'm going to start to get skeptical.

We were going to fly yesterday, but it rained all day.  It must be fall, because the high was 78.

Stetto, don't let the family invade your shop space, it'll be gone forever!  I finally ran out of room, have to move stuff around everytime I want to work on something.  The Zero is on the floor in front of one bench, bits and pieces of Focke Wulf are on the other two.  The T-33 is filled into the space the FW isn't taking up, and the Spitfire's hanging from the ceiling above the box it came in, which is filled with all the parts that haven't been glued on yet.  I wanted to put the truck in there once....

But now I don't have to run the AC when I'm out there.  Got that nice cool breeze blowing in the garage door.  You can have the 90's!

Ditto! the "We will just store it here until (insert temprory term here) is BS, once its becomes a storage place, it remains one.  :sadness:

Quotefrom the weather/liar guy...

You're right! They're wrong...very wrong.....

It's 96 in the friggen shade!!!!!!

(of course we could have 2 feet of snow by next week, but that doesn't look very likely...)
