Model airplane stuff

We seem to get away from this quite a bit lately, even though this is what brought many of us together.  I've been doing quite a bit of building, assembling and fixing up this year, and i'm finally starting to get some pictures of all of it.  So here are a couple to start the album.  This is a Kyosho T-33 that my friend Wally rescued from a garage where it had been sitting for several years.  When I got it, it was white (well, sort of), full of spiderwebs (and other critters) and equipped with an ancient and heavy brushed motor.  After cleaning it up, I repaired all the damaged foam, installed a Mega brushless motor on the stock 75mm fan, added a servo for each aileron and repositioned the elevator servo.  Wally likes black, thus the paint job.  The graphics started out just being a stripe...that lasted until I watched an old "Lone Ranger" rerun.  She has a new Spektrum radio installed, Kemo Sabe..    Maiden flight is scheduled for very soon....

I'm still, and will be, trying to get as much of Mama's new house put together as I can right now...Believe it or not, the most important room in the house to get done is MY recording studio...Allow me to 'slpain;

Terrin's office has to be completely redone before she can move in. Her floor is that commercial grade grocery store-looking stuff and she demands a real floor. The room was a beauty salon, so the plumbing, the lighting, the ceiling, the walls, the 'lectricity all have to be redone to get her in there so I can start redoing the sitting room where she has planted her temporary office, which looks kinda tacky in this open floorplan...I can't start in her office because it's half full of---of---of-f-f---My recording gear. C'mon guys, try to keep up...

Now then, yes, I did get my workshop put together first, which you guys are going to say "Great! Gather up some sticks and glue!", but the actual reason I got that workshop put together was---was---was-s-s---My shop tools were being stored IN HER OFFICE!...You had to know it all tied together, eh?

So, I've relieved the office of tool storage, holiday storage (got the utility storage shelves done right after the workshop), last weekend we hauled out pictures and her precious knick-knacks and baubles (china), and what's now left is basically getting my studio gear out of the way, and there is absolutely no place for it to go---go---go-o-o---But in a studio, right...Hey, you guys are catchin' on to this pretty good...

So then, I am a slave to necessity until I get Her Majisty comfortably sitch-ee-ated in her domain. The studio is the slowest project because it's the room that had to be gutted for mold...It's getting a new floor (poured slab), re-wired, re-ducted, pretty much re-everythinged...The good news is that once I get the floor and ceiling redone I can safely bring the gear in and pile it up in the middle of the floor...I'm finishing the floor this weekend with this stuff. Then, once I get my strength back up, I'll be tearing down the rock on the ceiling and roughing in some romax...

...I should be glueing that Musyak together in no time.....

My husband was building a P-40 warhawk and there are a lot of other parts and original scale plans for that and a couple other warplanes.  How original?  One of the sets of plans is the in a manilla envelope with a three cent stamp on it.   The reason I am writing to you is that I don't know who to contact about selling these things.  My husband recently died and I find myself with a lot paraphinalia here.  I am in the Edgemont area of SD, just outside of Newcastle, WY.  He was serious about his models and has most, if not all the parts, pieces and tools for them.  If you can help me I would be glad to send a list of the things I've found.  If you can't maybe you can direct me to someone who can.

Rose, I am also sorry to hear of your news.  Honcho posted some good information, I'm sure one of those clubs will be able to help you out.

And....the T-33 made her first flight this morning in Memphis TN.  Wally reported she flew right out of his hands and flew best at about half throttle.  A little tail heavy, but nothing that moving the battery forward won't fix.  Should have some pictures soon.
