Its been springy sans any real moisture here. The inch or so of it we got became memory disturbingly quickly. Temps have been cool low 50s to comfy 70s +, with some wind on occasion. I just pretend its going to rain at some point and planted the little bit of hay I planned anyway.  Now I see next Friday they are talking snow again, which would figure, later spring storm that should be rain, if it happens at all.

I was out driving pastures yesterday, this could get interesting, very little grass is growing, some places is just dirt, cows don't like that much for dinner.

I guess the humor is lost on this young crew.....although I thought Buckaroo would have remembered. An April Fools joke that started in Australia and went around the world as the day progressed......

You won't regret that one bit!  And I'll even go with you!

Do you have any idea when the great migration will occur?

It's looking a lot like September, though it could be sooner. Terrin is already applying for remote work there, and the PuddinFace, who is moving out there with us, has a lease on her apartment til June 15th.

A week of beautiful weather here in the swamp.  Highs in the low 80s, lows between 45 and 60 depending on what day it is.  The pollen is gone, the winter killed all the skeeters and life is good.  A winning lottery ticket would make it better, though.... :disturbed:

Another "up"date: We're slowly putting ducks in a row and wrangling cats, an T has begun her jobsearch in the Austin area. A great majority of work in her line is remote, so she wants to secure a position now and have a presence in TX before we even load a truck. I'm on home restoration duty, which used to be me, a ladder and a toolbag, but this time consists of finding the right contractors at the right price. I get to pick up after them.

The house in Pflugerville is good sized, half the rent as our house p'ment here and utilities are all paid. I volunteered yard work, which they happily jumped on.

I'm going to start looking into my personal concerns, namely golf, bands, golf, and maybe a greeter job at H.E.B.

And yes Jaime, Bomber Field is a bucket item list...

More to come...

Was winter yesterday, low 40s and spitting snow all day.  Supposed to spring up slowly the next few days though. Which is good, I have a some field work to do, I put it off until we had some moisture to work with.
