Colorado has been in the news with its burning, we have not escaped the result of a drought either. One made the national news west of Ft Collins, burned about 87k acres, shortly after the one in CO springs started and burned 350 houses, but only was about 15k acres.
We had a fire start west of us in the mountains the same time the CO springs fire did, its up to 88k acres and still spreading. Its about 75 miles as a crow flies, but we have been getting socked in with smoke.
So this -

Yeah we could have had Gozilla. :icon_lol:
When you consider the fact that there are no sky scrapers within a thousand miles, not likely! ! Maybe a tidal wave ??
Heh, we had a tidal wave, it got all the way up to my ankles! Well maybe we could have had mothra come out of our volcano then.
We have friends in Florissant, west of Pikes Peak. They see smoke from every direction.
There were some hellacious t-storms up here the last couple weeks, Duluth got 10 inches, half the trees are laid across the highways in parts of the state. We were away for a week, got home expecting a couple inches in the rain guage--Nary a half-inch. :'(
Yeah Co where the fires were had some rains yesterday and today, about 6" worth, so they had mudslides and washed out roads. I guess I will quit complaining.
just talked to my Mom on the coast and they are surrounded by smoke from Co.....
Here. we are just melting from the heat......< pant, pant....>
I believe we can safely find blame in AlGore...It's not nice to lie about Mother Nature... :disgust:
