This morning, the water from the cold water faucet was actually.......cold!!  First time since last March.  62 degrees....

Beautiful morning today, 71 and severe clear. That hurricane Iasaaiaiahaiahh is going to pass well east of us, far enough that we won't even get any rain.  Still getting hot in the afternoons, but the humidity is dropping a bit.  It'll be nice to be able to sit outside in the evenings again.

42 here this morning at 5:30,  I thought maybe we saw our last 90 for the year yesterday, but apparently Friday and Sat are going to give us a last hurrah. Monday they are calling for 52 for a high,  and the following Friday I am seeing 30s for lows, I have to clean all the crap I have thrown on top of the wood stove off over the summer, because its going to be used.

We have a shot of summer again, 90s for the last couple days and today, supposed to drop back a little to a comfy 75 to 80 something, but then a shock to the system with a string of low 60s in the forecast.  But then it will be the middle of Oct by then, have to quit expecting Texas weather in WY despite it being closer to the former all year.

They are cool.  Yeah they do seem to be pretentious, kind of like Barret or LWRC owners in the gun world.

Much cooler and a lot of drizzle today.  Nice enough to get out in the garage and get some work done on the GP Phantom I'm trying to restore.

They are cool, but it comes at an absurdly expensive price! And I've discovered over the years that a lot of the jet guys are real a**holes.

They do make rather spectacular fires when they go in. One of them caused a brush fire in central Texas not too long ago.  It was bad enough to make the news. The best one I've seen was at Bomber a few years ago when a guy flew an F-86 at high speed through the trees at the south end of the runway while trying to do a low pass. There was a pic floating around of the wings minus the rest of the airplane jammed into a tree....
