Yo Stetto

Was digging around in the basement cleaning stuff and ran across ( I knew I had it) a Yamaha BB350 bass guitar that I know I am not gonna play.  I played a little bass in high school but that was many moons ago, and I had picked this one up thinking I would get interested again. 

Any Idea what kind of value it has?  Didnt see any on ebay, and near as I could tell, saw a few used ones from old ads (2-3 years old) for 200-250 area.  What would an expert such as yourself say?  And if I were to sell it, how does one go about shipping?  Seems mine came to me in merely the padded case that came with it, but... my memory is as short as....  well, its a short memory.   Got any idears???

Naw Ron, you'd be better off just learning to play the darn thing. Then we could be a band.



From the momentary checking around I've done, the price for a used one goes from $200, shipped, to a little over $300, shipped. I'd make you an offer if it was fretless...

Shipping is pretty much up to you as well; My Seagull acoustic was shipped in a cheap cardboard guitar case that was simply taped up. I'm amazed it arrived (from Florida) in one piece. Some guitars are shipped in flight cases. My happy medium would be to ship in its case, but wrap the case in cardboard, tape it up, insure it for more than its value, spank its little butt and send it on its way...

It suddenly dawns upon me cursed brain...

LOOSEN THE STRINGS!!!

If they aren't loose already, that is. Floppy loose will do just fine, it takes unnecessary tension off the neck.

When you ship it, put a flattened towell between the strings and the bod.

So when you rediscovered it, was it still in tune? My Spector NS-2A will stay in tune for months at a time, maybe longer if I wasn't always playing like Steve Harris...
