I know there are not that many flyers among us anymore, but have you guys caught wind of the new rules that essentially end RC flying for sport?

It seems more and more likely I am going to be a news story at some point, much of the stuff I do is illegal anymore, or at least I am breaking multiple regulations almost daily it seems.   :eusa_eh:

And no doubt there will be fees, fees and more fees attached to every step a poor kid has to take to have a freekin' hobby in this country.

Not to mention compliance cost of new radio equipment will bring a sharp increase itself aside from fees, and all the old stuff will be illegal to use unless it can be retrofitted to use transponders.

People will do bad stuff with anything, look at hammers which supersedes rifles in killings, but they don't register, license and track hammers.

And I am amazed at how so many are simply laying down for it, because someone used one stupidly somewhere else.  Once again, the govt makes a law that assumes the rights to become a privilege, and then claims it has cause because someone may break that law to infringe on everyone even more.

The constitution has specific things about about this kind of stuff, one is the 4th amendment, that no one be surveilled with out cause, and the 9th and  10th amendments which states rights don't end with the enumerated ones, and that the people themselves retain all the ones not stated, which includes flying a damn model airplane without govt interference.

I have no doubt all but a select few who will prostate themselves at the throne of govt will not still be flying in 5 years, and this hobby will cease, and really, already has as we knew it.   And they will blame drone pilots and people like me for losing it when they not only just figuratively lined up for the box cars themselves, but demanded the lines be neat and orderly when they should have been tearing up the tracks.

My new hobby is going to be insurrection they keep it up. :disgust:
