Talked to Honcho today

Seems his newfangled interweb is down, he's waiting for the wireless repairmen to come fix the problem.
He also told me about his trip to town over the weekend.
Seems Saturday his Appendix didn't like his company anymore, so they parted ways.
He's fine, and at home resting.
Hope I didn't overstep my bounds, but I thought you folks might want to know.

Them appendix's can be down right difficult at times.   Mine decided that not only was we gonna part company, it was going to blow up for special effects.

Great timing moT, I just got me internet back, so the shakes have subsided.  Thanks for posting the health headsup too.

Yep, I think that qualified as completely crappy weekend. The infamous Denver airplane auction was was over the weekend, saved my pennies for  a couple months, had plans to go, then started to have a gut ache around Thursday,  Sat morning I  decided it would be miserable to drive that far, so skipped it. Sat evening the pain moved from around my belly button to my right side and I really was hoping it wasn't an appendix, but at about 9pm I passed out, threw up, and was hauled to hospital, in that order.  Sun morning I had surgery and came home last night.  Lots of fun.

Mine was ruptured, but must have done so on the way out and didn't contaminate my innerds, but they kept me an extra day pumping antibiotics into me just to be sure. Can't say missed hospitals much at all in any way.

Anyway, I'm back home and on the mend.

Glad to hear you are feeling better.  Mine ruptured sometime long before the surgery,  was in the hospital for a solid week, and off work for 9 weeks while waiting for the incision to heal.  Had a wet to dry pack in it that had to be changed twice a day.....not fun.

Yeah, he said I would have been there several days if he thought it had ruptured and contaminated the abdominal cavity.  I seem to have lucky bad luck.

Oh man! I just got off the phone with my 30 year old daughter. Drs are sending her for CT tomorrow because of fever and abdominal pain too. They are thinking appendix as well. I'm glad you guys came through it okay. Prayers are with all!

I hope she doesn't have to drink that god awful stuff they use to show up the innerds better, I think that trying to force that stuff down while you felt about 1/2 queasy may have been the worst part of the whole deal.

The good news is, it wasn't her appendix...the bad news is, it's an ovarian cyst. The good news is, it's suppose dissolve on it's own, the bad news is, she will have to have surgery if it doesn't go away on it's own. Thanks for your caring thoughts!
