Man lucky you.  We had a big storm front roll through last Thursday to Saturday, started with light drizzle progressed to snow, snowed pretty steady but light for a day and half, got maybe an inch of it at any one time as it melted as it came, but in the end, got like .002 of moisture out of it, can't even tell already it ever did. Driest winter and spring I have seen it in the 30 something years we have been here.

We too got that storm, Honcho. They predicted 2-5 inches here but we wound up with an inch or so overnight Fri-Sat.

I went into the mtns yesterday to rehearse with a new band in Victor CO, a gold mining town at 10,000 ft elevation and the 11 inches they got was all but gone already. As was any oxygen I could find.

Rain for the past two days here.  Temps in the upper 70s.  I get to miss the next few days of the rain as we are headed to the PRK to watch the grandson race go-karts.  He races in the teen league at a place called K1 Speed, and placed second in the state to go to their national competition this weekend.  Looking forward to that, and it'll be nice to be away from here for a bit.

I enjoyed some mid-morning golf yesterday and watched a dozen or more chemtrail planes paint a nice tight checkerboard of thick non-evaporating lines overhead, horizon to horizon.

Coincidentally they're predicting dangerous thunderstorms this afternoon and evening.

I'm sure the conspiracy nutcases will add the intensity of this coming storm to the list of lessthancoincidentals. I know because I'm becoming one of them.

We were socked in with low clouds then to variable ceiling all day yesterday, but not a drop fell, started to get some mist late in the day but that was all, then at 9:30 last night we got an honest shower of about 2/10ths.  Normal years would have been rain all day, for the last couple, and the next for that matter.  Going to be another tough year.   :icon_neutral:

We got another 6/10's yesterday. With decent chances for more tomorrow and Monday through Wednesday next week.

Expecting more than 3 inches between now and Thursday, including ~50 inches of snow on Pikes Peak.

Nice change. We're pretty short on precip lately. This system is moving practically north by northwest. Here's hoping the Honcho reaps some benefit.

QuoteWhat and where is PRK Jaime?

Carl, the PRK is the People's Republic of Kalifornia. Most of my family lives there, though I'm still not sure why.  Must be the taxes and $4.89 a gallon gas... :eek5:

Rain here until tomorrow. They say 3-6 inches, depending on how far north we are.  It's about 73 degrees here right now.

1.3 inches in the past 24 hours.  We are wet! Grass is growing like crazy, been having to mow every 3 days.  Hay is growing great also.

Well finally payers have been answered, we have 1.5" in the gauge this morning. 1st real measurable stuff since the 1st of Apr, and that wasn't much. I think we had one rain of a 1/2" all winter, and a couple light snows, and it looks it.  Had some pretty big puddles in the yard last night.  I don't know when the rain stopped, but by noon I bet there are no puddles in the dirt or gravel.  But man it saved the little bit I planted, and will give the grass a kickstart ahead of the heat we have coming they say.

We have some irrigation water, they say it may be limited as snow pack fell way off late, like 50% of normal this last couple weeks. But they have banked some reservoirs so we should be OK other than probably having to irrigate non stop starting next week. :eusa_doh:

I'm sure the weeds will love it, they have been laying around complaining like the panhandlers on busy intersections, with little signs "will grow for water".

Well, it was nice while it lasted...the rain finally stopped, we had two or three really nice days and now it's about to be summer again.  Forecast upper 90s with the humidity coming back starting Wednesday through next week.  But, there haven't been any skeeters.  Yet...

We have all them blood sucking bastages up here!

Onepoint

We had that great rain which soaked in pretty good, probably saved pastures and hay crop this year. then had a warm up, 90s the last couple days and the next one or so, then we get another shot of cool, maybe some more damp sounds like.

Hey, you Texicans, cayatè el la voca on the 90°, humidity and mosquitoes already!

You want her to r-u-n-n-o-f-t before she even gets there?!?

84° and dry here yesterday. Golf Thursday, maybe my last in the Springs.
