Beautiful Sunday for my part of Texis, 70°, partly cloudy, nice breeze. Supposed to get wet all week, I'll wish some to Wyoming...

stetto

So much for Sunday, distant happy memory.

2.5" between yesterday & this morning. Continues to p*ss and piddle today, then back into sun & 80s til Saturday/Sunday.

Raining again today.  The sun was out long enough to tease me into thinking it might be a nice day, then the gray erased it all.  My sidewalk project is on hold yet again.  64 degrees.

Onepoint

Interesting, I vaguely recall that rain thing, used to just fall from the sky right?

Supposedly we have a good chance, at least as good as we have had for a couple months next week, we get 40 something degree days with it, but I don't care if it gets wet.

Onepoint

Well we finally got some rain that would measure in the gauge, .4" its so dry it only made the dirt damp, but will help a bit. Probably too late to make the grass grow much, but will make it at least come out of dormancy which it had not so far, 1st time I can recall having leaves on trees before grass is green.

We still have not heard what our irrigation water situation will be, but the ditch company down stream across the border on our ditch said they will run 30 days, on .6 of their allocation and start on July 1st.

We have a little more water banked from last year than they do, but that means we won't get water until they come in the ditch, I suspect we will also be at .6 of a foot per share for allocation. Usually we don't have allocation at all, meaning we can order as much as the ditch will hold and when we do its usually an acre foot or so which is enough for me to irrigate as normnal. Unless we get some serious rain in there some where, probably looking at only 2 cuttings of hay.

I may be on the street corner with a sign, "will work for hay"   :icon_neutral:

That stinks! Praying y'all get the rain you need.

I just looked at the Austin radar. South part is getting 14+ inches/hour right now! The wife is in Pflugerville on the north end and only getting 1-2. Down in Luling we have partly cloudy and 70s.

Wild little ol' state, Texas...I'd sure like to will some of that north Austin rain to you, Honcho...

Raining this morning.  Depending on which alarmed weather guesser you listen to, it's either going to be a biblical deluge or it will pass us by.  To add to that, the power has been blipping on and off since about 5 this morning, like it always seems to do when it rains.  (Add colorful expletives here) power company.... :disgust:

Our big scale model show is tomorrow, weather supposed to be a lot better for that!

stetto

4 inches in the guage as of 7:00 this morning, 2-3 additional expected by 6 tonight. Watersports commencing.

wtxsflyr

We were supposed to get 2-2.5 inches.  Got 6/10's!

Onepoint

Its just wild to think we have not seen 4" of rain or equivalent in 6 months total.

stetto

Bright & shiny like a billy goats hiney this morning. 50°.

That additional 2-3 inches amounted to a half inch, but it took its sweet time adding that.

We're in a sandbox down here, so that rain took no time soaking in...

jetmex

If finally stopped raining!  Yesterday was beautiful, clear and sunny at 72 degrees, today is looking like more of the same.  The highly accurate and fully calibrated Jetmex rain gauge nailed to the back fence says 2 inches, which brings the total for last week to 7 inches.  Now I gotta mow the damn grass again.

60 degrees here now.

Onepoint

Heh, we finally had some. About 4/10 again, isn't making much of a dent on the dry, but at this point anything helps. It also frosted which stressed everything. Cheyenne got several inches of wet snow as did northeast CO, closed roads and made a mess, its late for that even here.  Got a chance of thunderstorms next couple of days, maybe we can pick some more up.

MrGoodwreck

It's been Bi-Polar weather here. 80's then 30's, now 60's..

We needed the snow, its going to be a crazy fire season here. I'm thinking I will be busy, but dont know where I will end up.
