Not too exciting here, been too busy to enjoy much of a holiday.  But my 82 mother insists on shooting some fireworks so went and bought some and came out last night to do it.    Hope yours was all good too.

Happy 4th everyone, even to our northern neighbor!   

Going to be interesting since it's been so dry here that a good part of the state is on a burn ban.  But, oldest son and the Princess flew in from Florida, so the whole mob is here and we're getting together at our daughter's place for bbq and hopefully some fireworks.

We were in southwest Denver yesterday, quite the red white and blue bunch we found ourselves with. The smoker was loaded with brisket, pork ribs, pork butt, and some of the best Mac & cheese ever. The whole town was trying to blow itself up, and too many fools left their animals out. The neighbors dog (half pitbull) lost it after a volley of aerial boom boom and attacked the PuddinFace's little Chihuahua mix (yes, the girl was on of the aforementioned fools). It was close.

I've found myself in THREE bands in the last month, and now these people are vying for "ownership". I actually got to use the phrase SHOW ME THE MONEY, which curiously shut them all up.

We shall endeavor to persevere...

Happy 4th all!! We're home again and I'm preparing to grill burgers for T & I, which wasn't on the menu yesterday...
