I got a note this morning from Big Mikes ex girlfriend saying he had passed away.   


"Good Morning Eric,
I wanted to let you know that Mike passed away on Monday afternoon. He was at the VA in Seattle recovering from a foot amputation surgery. He developed blood clots in his lungs."

I knew he was suffering diabetes and could barely walk the last time he was here.  I had not talked to him in a couple years, and honestly he was a mess, and was not ready to get help.  But he was a great guy at times, especially for me, the FUBAR family is poorer for his going. 

Well, that is too bad.  I wondered what might have happened to him from time to time.  Prayers for Mikes family.

Ironic, I saw a retro. Ad for Moon Pies yesterday, and guess who I immediately thought of.......

He went through a lot of personal upheaval in his life, and it is unfortunate he choose to remain solitary, and not share his unique perspective on things with the fubar gang.

Big as life, he will always remain in our hearts.......

He had reconciled with his kids at least, and took joy in that. There is a memorial service for him this coming Saturday.
