You hit milestones and it lets you reflect on where you are and how you got there.  In my case only by the grace of God and the love of a good woman, literally.

25 years married today.  :eusa_dance:

CONGRATULATIONS!! Our 25th is in exactly one week!!

...So, was the wedding cake green?

#2
I think it had green flowers on it IIRC, mostly I remember white as it was smeared on my face. :)

Someone dug up a pic from a family history book one of the grandparents put together.  A lot of water under that bridge since then.  :eek5:

I'd like a "word" with whoever started that whole wedding-cake-smearing-in-the-grooms-face business...

There was a blizzard on March 25 that year. It stranded every one of our guests in Cheyenne...

We were in CO, lambing time, in fact right before the wedding were were out in those cloths feeding lambs so we could go afterward.   The weather was pretty decent, we took off after the reception, drove 70 miles and spent the night in Estes park, but didn't get there until 10pm and were totally wiped out, didn't wake up until 10 am or something.

Yeah, they invented color photographs, and all kinds of stuff.....

Congratulations to the both of you. Many fail, many bail, but not too many reach the milestone you are celebrating today !

Yeah, well at least  its a step up from Thog the shaman doing cave paintings of it.  :icon_lol:

Congrats, Honcho! May you be blessed with 25 more...

My turn...Yes Nony, that's a mullet. No Nony, I don't still have it, in a baggie in the closet or still attached to the back of my head. And yes Nony, she sure is!!! :icon_razz:

Hard to believe there was a foot of snow right there the next morning...Naw, it's Wyoming. You don't like the weather? Wait a minute... :icon_mrgreen:

Congrats!  I could only imagine what white would have looked like for me by the end of the day. :)

Yah, didn't Terrin dress me nice? I don't know how it stayed white either...

So get this for karma--I took her to Doolittle's Grill for one of the closest-to-perfect tenderloin filets I ever remember eating (yeah, and fewest), and this morning we awoke to a blizzard, just like 25 years ago...
