And I find out some of our beloved here have such swelled heads that they have to cut them open and remove some of the beloved part :disturbed:  J/K

Sounds like you are doing fine so far.  Sure glad to see and hear that.  I looked at a few threads here and glad that most if not all have checked in at some point.

As for the Frazz'ys, we have a new granddaughter born in July, son getting married (again) this next friday, oldest daughter got divorced a couple years ago, now looks like she will be married maybe next spring to a really really nice guy who we just adore.  Sometimes things work for the best even though at the time it really hurts.  Mr Frazzy has spent all his time this summer out on a tractor it seems, doing normal summer work plus we broke out a lot of CRP acres.  My gracious I didnt know ground could be so rough.  The summer was very dry here at the farm.  Rains all around us until it got to within a couple miles of the farm lol.  Grass is all brown (buffalo grass that is) and the pastures and so forth, and a few miles away the milo and stuff looks irrigated.

Lost a couple hard drives and all email contacts cuz ole Frazzy didnt back anything up except Turbotax files, as I always do that when Im done with taxes.  Also, and I know I really wish I hadnt of now, but I sold all my model airplane stuff except for 4 kits on ebay or the Denver auction.  Now I really wish I had my tools and all the small parts a guy accumulates over the years.  My radios were old and not sure if they were legal, as I found out the frequencies have changed.  Nobody wanted them except for the servos.  Havent flown for 4 years now, as when we get off work I was just tired enough to go inside and hit the a/c and get out of the wind.  Seems with the kids gone and stuff, ole Frazzy seems to keep busy painting baby furniture, helping put tile in and stuff like that helping them out. :icon_razz:

Anyway its good to find you guys here again, and I must apologize for being lazy and just not checking in.  Havent been on internet too much this summer but enough that I have no excuse  :eusa_doh: for not doing so.  You two Erics are some tough dudes, ya know?????  Heh heh you oughta be the KoolKat gang, as cats seem to have 9 lives and always land on their feet.

Boy, am I glad you're not referring to me... :disturbed:

It's good to hear from you Ron. If you stopped in more often you'd see that we hardly discuss airplanes anymore, and when we do we usually add a "For Jaime's Eyes Only" warning...

Still doing that cigar connoisseur thing? Me too, only I narrow my purchases down to Macanudo Minis. Since the tumor was removed, if I smoke one of those REAL cigars my head's so small it looks like the cigar's smoking me... :eusa_think:

Hey Fraz... good to hear from you again.......

Like that takes effort or something?  :icon_biggrin:

Good to see you around Fraz. We were cool and kind of damp this summer up this way,  then we hit 19 last night so I think we can officially say growing season is over.

Frazz

Oh ya, I had to dig but I found my way back in.  And yes, I still puff on those vile mosquito getter ridder personal smoke devices.  I have found some of that vile evil taste can be somewhat washed away with a semi liberal dose of some brown liquid stuff that comes from Germany or thereabouts.  Then to get rid of that vile nasty brown liquid taste, you take a puff of that vile...... etc etc :icon_lol:

I usually just buy cheap cigars.  I really like the consuegra brand from jrcigars.com  Also I like whats called Montecruz little cigars in ems or natural.  Tried the maduro once and didnt like it in that brand.

It got down to 27 here so I suppose we are done too.

Instead of flying, I've been working on our basement to make a home theater room.  I have it started but its not done by any means.  Built my screen from a diy site and they said to use Marlite and turn it around and use the back side that is rough, then paint it with a few coats of paint.  I did mine with about 5 coats of just Kilz primer and we have a good picture.  I spent less than 50 bucks on screen and the 2x4 frame behind it.  If i can figure out how to post a pic Ill post one.  I have a panasonic projector, Marantz audio video receiver, sony blu-ray player av123 x-tatik main speakers and some av123 cs-x center and surround speakers.  I still have my magnepan speakers but they are in storage right now.  I think the pic shows them but I took the pics before I stored them.  Hi def sat receiver too.  Ya cant see em in the pic but I have a couple of 15" subs... weight 110 pounds apiece.  Thought I was gonna have a heart attack getting them in the BASSment  :disturbed:   Oh hey I found a pic that has a shot of one of the subs so ill add it in too.

Nice setup, Ron...Though I have an aversion to wallpaper (see thread on "what I do for a living... :disturbed: ).

You know that they make an accoustic paint these days. It's pretty amazing stuff. Also look into "bass traps". They give you the ability to crank the low end, feel the thump in your chest, and not have the transient subharmonics to have to constanly dial out...

...But then, knowing you, you have a Heisenberg Compensator calibrated for just such annoyances, don't you... :icon_lol:

Whoooeeeee   thank heavens I didnt have any wallpaper on.  a couple years ago I did the home depot 2 color paint stuff and used a glaze stuff  and then a plastic sack to dab on the top color with the glaze mix :disturbed:

Will have to check into this acoustic paint stuff tho, sounds intellesting.  Ya about the bass traps.  I have been reading this last month at night, the virtues of bass traps.   Just last night wife and I woke up and heard bass in the bassment last night, and I sez, I've got to buy some traps and trap those critters.  :eusa_think:  I'm checking with our local lumber yard to see if they can get me some of the owens corning 703 and 705 material, then I would just put my own fabric on it and voila...... hoooooommmmade bass traps.

Iffn I had somebody's address, I might be so inclined to send a certain someone some personal mosquito repellers, ya know, to see if they work up there.

Ooooops....My bad. There are so many folks doing the "decorative painting" these days that I kinda make assumptions--Sorry--Looks great!  :icon_redface:

Bear in mind Ron, that the traps may help with travel through walls and floors, but are mostly for dampening unwanted waves traveling in the room you're listening in, giving you more headroom on the low end. Travel through the floor is something you may have to address on the floor itself (or the ceiling), and there are products made for that too.

Your ambiguous allusion to "somebody" has me wondering about the nature of these mosquito repellents of which you speak...'Cepting that I'm the guy in the notorious state "filthy with 'em"...I emailed you a roster earlier this morning, but I have no idea how recent it is. No matter how recent it is, I doubt it has my latest addy in it--But for mosquito repellents I would certainly supply you with said address!

I ordered some Mac Minis from your Famous Cigars the other day. The outfit I ordered from last, Cigars International, sent me a box of dried out twigs, and I was looking for a new supplier. I had to call their C-S because their webpage farted in my face, but the lady on the phone was as sweet as could be... :icon_cool:

Fraz is a farmer
Fraz is a poet
Fraz pushes bug repellent
But Stetto don't know it.

What's in the mail?
What's in the box?
Nobody knows
and Fraz, he won't talk.

A package! A package
all tied up with string!
We all want to know
what's inside of that thing!

The contents are secret
The contents unknown..
One thing it's not...
is Frazzy's cologne!

stetto

Conspiracy theories
While all well and good
Can get one in trouble
If misunderstood

Now should the wrong people
Take note of this thread
They might draw conclusions
And race to our 'stead

Homeland Security
Still seeking some fame
Could boil this thing over
And ruin some names

They'd start with a satellite
Peeking inside
Looking for evidence
Don't matter what kind

Spies--O! The spies
That the goons send in next
Commencin' phase two
Operation Red Nex

It could be a kid
Or a dish down the block
Who ne'er used to visit
But now'd like to talk

Perhaps just to chat
But Fubarians know better
Our tinfoil hats
Send alerts through the network

We'll batten the hatches
We'll arm the torpedoes
We'll scream bloody murder
We'll stock up on Cheetos

Some bureaucrat then
Will come up with a pattern
That suggests a plot
A sure threat to the neighbors

Of course there'd be guns
(There's always guns, ain't there?)
And big honkin' trucks
And an M-1--You betcha

They'll cordon us off
In the mire we'll be stuck
Then the UPS guy
Would drive up in his truck...

"I have some cigars
For some fellow named Stetto
His old buddy Frazz says
They're bold, sweet and mellow..."

The gub'mint buffoons
Take one look at the box
Then a look at each other
Then look down at the rocks

Then Stetto would shake
His shaved head (see the scar?)
Then light up a heater

...sayin'

"GET OUT OF MY YARD!"

Damn.  I'm gone for a week and look who shows up..... :icon_mrgreen:

How are ya, Frazz?

Question - will your bass traps catch crawdads or catfish?  I'm hungry.

Stetto, mi amigo, I think you have WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too much time on your hands.  :icon_lol:
