We got about 5" of wet snow, but its mostly gone now, supposed to be windy and warm this week a couple days which should suck all that out.  I just looked at snowpack, we are at about 68% of normal.

Stetto...looks like a big one may come across your back porch.... My brother lives north of you and they are getting hammered....

We'll see, Nony. Usually the panic mongers have schools closed before the storm gets close, but hard as they're trying (it's almost comical watching these poor boobs standing on a windy-but-snow-free street, waving their arms and hollering "RUN!"), no one's biting on their BS this time.

It's that crying "wolf!" thing. This is how the weather schmucks are going to get people killed...

Not a flake of snow yet, but the radar looks...busy...

Meh...We got a few inches, wind blew it all into 3-foot berms (all over MY driveway  :eusa_doh: ), and it's up over 32 degs today.

...Gonna be a sloppy Spring, and damm glad of it.

Onepoint

We had a couple days of blizzard warning here, and it started snowing pretty hard about 5:30 or so this AM.  We have a couple inches so far an no wind, but its coming down pretty hard. They are predicting 6-11" with 35mph sustained wind.
I spent most of yesterday doing what we could to get ready for a big blow.

Must be spring because the day before yesterday, it was so warm and nice I didn't wear a coat after 10 am and I flew for a half an hour in the after noon it was so calm.   But yesterday and last night it just felt weird, everything kind of holding its breath for this.

50 to 80 percent chance of precipitation through tomorrow.  Supposed to have a significant temp drop starting tonight with highs in the frigid 60s and low maybe one night dropping to the long john mid 30s.  After Tuesday, highs go back to the almost bearable 70s but nights still in the near frigid 40s.

Onepoint

Well we are supposed to hover around 30 today, with low 20s for the low after this moves out, and then back in the 60s and 70s by next weekend.  So its not like this is one of those bitter cold storms.  But man is that stuff heavy and wet. We have about 4" on the level now, and it weighs about 40 lbs per shovel full.  :eek5:

Freezing rain, then snow, then freezing rain. We had a concert yesterday and all of a dozen people showed up.

The panic mongers have really boosted the odds of major flooding over in the Red River Valley, then turn around and say that all this snow and moisture WILL HAVE NO EFFECT on the current drought. To have no effect it would have to flash-thaw and run off before the frost comes out of the ground. I swear these weather idiots get their marching orders right out of the WH office of re-educational affairs...

Onepoint

He, flooding and drought. I guess I need to look those up again.  Apparently they do not mean what I think they do.

I also notice they don't make blizzards like they used to either,  Snowed pretty hard, we probably got about 8" total, never more than about 5" at once and by last night it was down to 3.   the wind showed up, but was not near what tehy calimed and only after the snowhad stopped and melted.

It was snowing and temp was showing 35 degrees yesterday, why it was not raining is beyond me.  But I will take it, its a good shot of moisture, though I would not be surprised to see dust by Tuesday or Wednesday.

Spring is comin' ......ah done seed if wif muh own eyes!!

Mind you, I had to drive 900 miles to the coast, but there it was...green stuff all over the ground....big yellow warm thing in the sky...why I even got a bug splatter on my windshield!!!

We left Christmas card land to get there.....kinda reluctant to come back...

Spring--schming, we've been getting an inch of snow every night for three nights now, and now they tell us to expect another foot of the stuff on Monday--

And we have another concert happening next Friday.
