I don't know if that's a tall tale or not. You were a youngster?  :eusa_think:   :disturbed:

Frazz

So, we set a new record high here in Tribune, Kansas yesterday.  86 degrees.

I was a youngster a loooong time ago.  BTW, MIL lives in Devine and to keep on topic, it's supposed to be 95 deg there on Monday.

It has been snowing for 3 days now, with at least one more day....

Had to go through the city (Edmonton) today and had to put the truck in 4 wheel drive most of the way, including through the downtown core......

Heads up stetto...the system is heading south east........

Yah Nony, the warnings have begun. Funny, too, until a couple days ago this entire week was "forecast" to be in the 30s and 40s...

stetto

Blizzarding...Again.

-20 tomorrow morning, instead of the +35 they predicted like 3 stupid days ago.

I'm ready for something completely different, like unicorns or global warming... :eusa_wall:

I was wrong. That's where our mailbox USED to be. Plowboy took it with him on one of his passes through yesterday. I just went out to do some glacial archeology, and found the post, all by itself... :sadness:

dang mailbox thieves......they'll stop at nothing!

on a related note, we have had 37" of snow this month. With a melting warm period in the middle....more snow again tomorrow night......

Onepoint

Wow, we have had 37" of snow the last 3 years combined, maybe.

balsum fractus

Sorry...that should have read 37 cm.......about 15" or so......

We had 36" in the month of April about 6 years ago. Of course Spring temps made quick work of it, so it was a sloppy mess.

I dunno how much we have this winter--Didn't start to snow til well into January or so. When 3-4" falls our driveway fills with 3-4' drifts that span the entire, so amounts don't matter in that regard.

Something that's been gnawing at me though-For years I've been told by "experts" and farmers and gummint officials that "Snow pack determines ground water levels". Now that we finally have a snow pack to crow about I'm told "It makes no difference how much snow we have, snow is ALL just run-off". The drought lives on!

The crybabies in Fargo are wailing about what are the feds gonna do about their flooding problems. A state that has multi-billion dollar surpluses every year, and they refuse to pay their own way. I got no sympathy, the whole silt-slum can sink.
