Ermmm wait, I didn't buy a Harley though.  I may not have to do all that.  Bought a Kawasaki 900 Vulcan, used of course.  Now I gotta learn how to ride the thing.  Legally.   :icon_lol:  Got a training permit so far.  Had a bike in high school but let my cycle endorsement go when I got married and had kids...  yes in that order too  :eusa_clap:

Congrats Frazz, lets see the tats now. :icon_lol:

I had one of those 2 wheely things, a Honda 90 way back when I was in Jr High, Rode it to death, and tried to kill me a couple times.  Now I just stick to the 4 wheel versions.

So's, while you guys were fighting snow, rain etc ( that's only things we hear about on tv, haven't experienced it here) I had signed up and took a motorcycle safety school.  Passed with flying colors and learned to ride safely.  Or as safe as can be anyway.  Temps got up to 102 in Wichita while we were out riding in our heavy long sleeve shirts, boots, gloves, helmets etc on the good ole black pavement.  Twas a 3 day class and we spent a lot of time learning the proper braking, turning, obstacle avoidment or if no choice, how to ride over it, friction zone, emergency stops, how to make tight uturns, etc etc.  Really all in all  was fun but grueling.

Now to wait until the paperwork goes through state, then I get my papers and then go to the DMV and get my M endorsement.

Going to be a long 2-3 weeks.  I still have no tats, beard, goatee, dew rag, etc.

102? must have been last year?  I guess I didn't realize they had such in depth ride courses for them.

Frazz

nope.. was nice the Friday we spent in class, of course... Saturday was 100 and Sunday it got to 102.  Record highs.  Yeah the class was pretty intense with no wasted time.  We didn't stand around joking at all.  Got a 10 minute break here and there and lunch break, but spent our time learning.

I thought at one time when class was about over when were they gonna teach us to wheelie.  But being older and not bolder, I wanted my license more than a quick laugh.

Traded in the old 900, it was a 2007,  and bought a new 900.  LOL found a 2011 model with no miles on the odometer and got trade in for old one of what I paid for it.  I forgot to post a pic a long time ago.

I have about 1200 miles on this one now, its fun now instead of terrifying  :disturbed:  Almost every Tuesday night here a few guys with bikes will ride to another town and eat supper, and ride back home, refuel, and bs a while.  I have been fortunate to be able to make it 4 times this summer and learned how to do a little bit of group riding.  Biggest group so far has been 5 but it was fun and I learn something every time I ride.
