We know Frazz is playing Easy rider,  And Stetto has turned into a white haired gnome mumbling 's-s-snow' over and over, how's everyone else?

I have just been calving and being lazy for the most part, started some farming but its been pretty wet or windy to get much done.

We had a shoot planned middle of March with most of my cousins and few of their friends to show up,  gathered up ammo and targets even tried to clean my mess of a work/plane/storage/Bermuda triangle of parts room.   And then we had a fairly major winter blast and the whole thing fell through.

Been thinking about flying, but as usual  when the wind stops and its nice enough to stand around outside, I have to cram a weeks worth of work into a day so not much fun has been going on. That will start later when the farming starts for real and I start breaking stuff.

Well heck, you already replied for me. We've been gearing up for another fundraiser for Dylan's trip to Europe, a house concert/raffle on April 26. My evil plan to retire from the paint biz and just be Terrin's office girl has been foiled again-Too many people calling who want to trade money for impeccable craftsmanship I guess. Some people seem to enjoy paying through the nose. Who am I to deprive them?

My planes, kits, wrecks and otherwise have been gathering dust and hangar rash for an embarrassing long time. Don't wanna talk about it...

No farming here, sorry!   :disturbed:

Youngest son just got a paid summer internship at one of the megachurches here learning to run the audio and video for their services and radio and TV broadcasts.  He's pretty excited about the whole thing and is hoping to turn it into a full time job.  Looks like he might be moving back in for a while.

Oldest son will be getting his Master's degree in IT management from the University of Florida in a couple of weeks.  He had an interview with Exxon a few weeks that might have him moving back here as well.

I haven't done anything RC in quite a while, but I did start whittling down the small pile of plastic kits I had stacked up.  It's sort of getting back to my modeling roots and I'm enjoying the heck out of it.  Otherwise, it's just a little over nine years before I can bail out of this airline stuff and go do something else.

Well, nothing much going on here.....just living day to day, paying bills, shovelling snow, fixing broken stuff, etc.

Until today......

Sooper pilot got his captain's stripes today......he is an honest-to-goodness airline Captain! Something he has been working his butt off for since he was 4 years old. He has gone through some pretty lean times, but has also had some breaks by being in the right place at the right time. Through it all he never lost sight of his goal - that is a what I'm proudest of.

Jaime, I know where you are coming from. I bailed out from the rampant corporate stupidity 9 years
ago..  He has a pretty good gig.  Small friendly company flying 737NG's.....lots of business, lots of money, and lots of variety..

In the photo, he just completed his line check. The chief pilot delegated the lead flight attendant to do the presentation....

Okay, boasting time is over...reality check as i have to put on my plumbers hat and fix a certain bathroom fixture which has become clogged.....ycccccccch!

Congrats all the way around on that, it been fun to see him go from flying RC cubs to be an airline pilot.

Ah Nony, we have something in common--Just yesterday I had to replace a blown out faucet in the slop sink downstairs.

Been very busy on the new place.  It had been a farm for over a 100 years,  so I have been cleaning up that amount of stuff.  I don't think they ever threw anything away.  I have about 100 junk tires I have to do something with.  About 6 big trailer loads of scrap iron to haul off.  We have also been remodeling the house,  have the master bedroom, living room, and dining room done so far.  Still have to do the kitchen, master bath, and the guest bedroom.

Have got the garden started, 300 onion sets in,  asparagus bed is in, going get the corn, beans, peas, cucumbers, okra, and squash seeds in the ground this weekend. Then put the tomato and pepper plants next week.

We bought 20 day old chicks 5 weeks ago,  they are just about ready to go into the chicken coop.  Got to get it finished and ready for them.

Other than that, not much going on!.....LoL

Have been getting a few feral hogs on my game cams......

You know, Wayne, I noticed that anyone who has made it really big in aviation has a real day job in some other industry so he can make enough to afford to play with airplanes.  Which confirms that in order to make a million bucks in aviation, you have to spend two million.  I'm looking forward to being on the outside....

No plumbing problems here, but I do need to fix a coolant leak and put some new spark plugs in the truck.  And *sigh* it's time to get the lawnmower out again.... :'(

Heheh, I would list all  of the fixes that need doing around here, but I would run out of web ink.   At least the weather is cooperating some for a change.
