Winter snuck back in last night. -17. Going to be in this neighborhood for a while, it looks like.

We have been awfully spoiled with 60s the last week or 2 with a little cool down here and there, the last couple the wind hasn't even been an issue. But I better enjoy, winter is coming again this coming week, and it doesn't sound fun at all.

Freezing rain, with a chance of ice pellets, they said.......

That looks like a mini-van.  I thought you guys used snowmobiles and dogsleds to go get groceries and such. 

I thought they rode polar bears. 

Thats OK we had pellet snow yesterday, it was supposed to have moved out, so maybe they can explain the whiteout this morning.   

We dug ou the mini van and moved it out of the way so I coulld get my 4x4 out of the garage....

We've had so little snow that I still haven't pushed a shovel this winter. Finally, on Feb 18, it fell below -20. March in ten days, not that it means anything in this part of Texas...

It seems we have had more rain, and freezing rain this "winter", than snow. We are going through a weekly cycle of freezing with snow flurries, and then a warm up and melt down with rain.... Its either a skating rink or a mud bog out there depending on the day of the week.........

We got 1.4 inches of rain yesterday, then it got cold and turned to freezing rain and sleet.  Now everything is covered in ice with sleet on top.  Now it is lightly snowing.  We have reached our high for the day....24

....at least that will keep the 'skeeters away.........

We have had 2 days of 80 degree weather, I thought I was melting.  Now its 38 and wind blowing, and the way I bundle up, you  would think it was below zero.  Can't get used to change that fast. 

Hey we're getting the same, only not so extreme...I'll take it because it beats the heck out of the "spring" we had last year...in May.

Our second spring (much warmer and longer than the first...) has ended. It is snowing now, and will for the next three days.........

wd are varying from 50 to 70 and dry, which is starting to be concerning.  I saw the forecast for next week in the 30s and possible snow and rain though, but I'll believe it when I see it.
