No white Christmas this year!   :sadness:  Forecast is for light rain and fog, high will be near 80.  Santa might be a tad overdressed for a visit here....

I guess that winter thing is still real despite global warming, we had some below zero lows, double digit negative windchills and looks like we had the most snow in a 75 mile radius for some reason, 14" last week that never really went away, and another 4 on Xmas that piled up 3' in places, highs in the teens.  Hope it gets it out of its system soon, I am going to have to chain up a tractor to get around with all the ice.

10 below this morning. Supposed to get up to a high of -9.

-23 forecast for tonight. Honeymoon's over.... :sadness:

35 here this morning. High supposed to be 47. Brrrrrrr. Winter has REALLY arrived.

Onepoint

Yeah, we are just catching the edge of the really cold stuff, it was 1 this morning when I got up, we got to about 30, but had a pretty stiff breeze with it so it didn't feel warm at all.  Supposed to be in the 40s this week, which would be good so maybe a little of this snow will go away.

......and now it is raining.......in January !!!

stetto

Yeah Nony, and I thought last winter was mild. It got up to 42 here two days ago, is forecast close to that today. They forecast rain for today here too.

We had the one short cold snap and it's been almost nice since. We'll see what the groundhog sez this Tuesday....

Onepoint

We had our Jan thaw for real here too,  was near 60 yesterday, but not really enjoyable with the 60mph winds that came with it. That's the way its been all week, the temp matched the wind speed.  But at least some of the ice is melting away, and it thawed enough to make it muddy. Looks like we are going to dodge a bullet the next few days where south from Cheyenne on is going to get it good I hear.

Just as well I am stuck remodeling the kitchen, I guess just to remind me why I detest remodeling.  Funny how a new floor turns into new cabinets, countertops and sink too.  :eusa_doh:

Don't hate me for this, but it's 75 degrees and severe clear in the swamp right now.  This is supposed to continue for a few more days.

Has everyone up north dug out from the ssssnnnn........sssssssss.........snnnnnnn...white stuff yet?  :icon_mrgreen:

Great mosquito weather!

Most snow is gone.....but replacement is on the way, I heard....

Onepoint

Yeah, ours is mostly mud and ice patches, but we ha a dusting, and now they are talking we may get some of that stuff coming up from the south.  Doesn't matter, I am condemned to the kitchen until I die from fatigue, but I hear outdoors is nice.

Ok, it's 35 degrees, there's maybe an inch of new snow on the ground, heavy and sticking, and we've been issued a blizzard warning. I may have to issue a retraction later, but Whiskey Tango Foxtrot?

Onepoint

We had winter storm Kayla go through last week. I had to laugh, the rest of country gets to deal with what I do all the time, plus it snowed.   We really didn't get it that bad, they claimed we had 9", but I think we only had 4 maybe, it really never piled up too high despite the 30-40mph wind from the east we had with it, actually was worse drifting the last couple days with higher wind from the west.  But it was worse around us, especially south and west, they can't keep the interstate open it seems, the last 5 days its been shut for several hours each day.  And they have 3-5' drifts to deal with.  I have  some knee high ones that seem to regrow everytime I bust through them.

stetto

Ok, it's 38 now, but I have to retract. Can't see the mailbox.
