18" is about 4 more than we get all year.  Right here at our place we have hardly had any rain all summer, though they had some gully washers and super sized hail all around us.  But we only had one that gave a quarter inch or so a few weeks ago, and a fairly big one in August sometime, still less than an inch.  The 6" of snow we had last Sunday lasted 2 days and has since been dried up so you wouldn't even know we had anything.   

Hopefully you will skip much of that coming so you can dry out a little Carl, that or grow gills.

Golly, I'd love me some dry. I can't get out to till the 8th acre, the primordial muck clabbers up the tines in ten seconds.

We had three bald eagles pass low through the back yard this morning. Seeing more and more of them. Thank Gawd Obama gave those wind turbine guys a pass on killing them, it's the only way to thin the pests out!!

No, seriously. The eagles (and all birds of prey around here) are getting thick. We see them on road kill almost daily. Bastiges are HUGE....

Yeah, T shirt weather for ab out a week now and nearly Nov.   Its dry but I ain't complaining about nuttin yet.   I got over zealous with fire wood, bought 3 cords....thats a lot of wood for us.

Yeah, its like guns, better to have and not need.   But I was tarting to feel like a hoarder when we finally got it stacked.  Which makes you feel stupid when its still T shirt weather.   going to be mid 70s today, with some wind supposedly.

....and insurance and seat belts!  Almanac says Feb is going to be epic cold....

Well winterrrrrrrrrrr is back ..... but it is November, so I guess it is acceptable...
