I guess it's time to see if anyone is actually doing any RC modeling.  Been a busy year for me, mainly building for other people.  Attached is a pic of the two Zeros I did earlier, the white mottled one was for friend Wally while the green one was for a paying customer.  Both from Seagull models, 86 inch winsgpan and both powered by EME60 gassers with onboard starters.  Great flying airplanes and no nose weight needed with the starters installed...

Friend Wally and I at the Jetero RC Club Warbird event back in October...we both are Legend Hobby team members, hence the ridiculous but cool shirts...

And my pride and joy for the year, Legend Hobby AD-4 Skyraider in the markings of VA-65 just after the Korean war.  86 inch wing, another EME60 autostart gasser up front.  Wally built the airplane, graphics are from Callie Graphics and I did the paint and decal work.  I had a ball with this one, it's gotten a lot of attention at the events we've attended.

I've actually been able to get five plastic models done as well.  I could get real used to this retirement thing....

I dunno... I don't think I have ever seen two shadier characters.  And actually, I have thought about getting an electric at some point just for the simplicity of things.  Other than that, just last night I watched a 32 minute video of r/c plane crashes for entertainment purposes  :icon_razz:

Yes, Callie graphics, are the best! I just got a set for my 30cc Spitfire, and picked up another quarter scale Cub. I have been Cubless for several years.

I wish I could post pics from my IOS devices....

Watching other people crash is a lot cheaper than doing it all yourself!

I have been sporadically flying the electrics a little bit.   I picked up an Eflite airtractor on sale this fall, was binding the receiver, it went full throttle and shot across the trailer I had it on and smacked into a panel I had rigged for a sideboard, disintegrated the prop and spinner,  which at the time were backordered.  Luckily I only had to wait a few days for it to be back in stock, got it all fixed up just in time for our one and only big snow and subzero this year.    :eusa_wall:

But it worked out, pre crashed, so that's out of the way,  I maidened it a week or so ago, about gave me a coronary.   Horribly out of trim and way too much throw right off the bat,  made for a good facial workout and some really good contortions as I tried trim it out.   But it was flyable, and trimmed out mostly, just need to mix some expo and it will be good to go again.

I have been catching Jamie's exploits via legend hobbies facebook.

Hey, I resemble that remark!   :icon_mrgreen: :icon_mrgreen:

Honcho, where can I get one of those hay feeders?  There are some jet guys here that need to be introduced to one...  :disturbed:

Current project is a Great Planes F-4 Phantom prop jet.  A good friend is dealing with early Parkinson's and can't build or fly any longer.  He sent it to me to finish and fly it.  I'm going to go electric on this one so as not to have that awful 2-stroke muffler hanging out and to save some weight.  Looking forward to it, going to be a cool bird.  I'm also resurrecting a few of my old electrics so I can start flying again, and I scored a old Goldberg Senior Falcon to build and play with.  Had a Falcon 56 years ago that I flew until it fell apart, going to have fun with that one as well.
