More happy for some than others I guess. 

It's happy here for sure.  This is the first year in the last 40 or so that I could count on having the day off!  It's all good....

I got the day off to celebrate with youse guys.....

......'course I got yesterday off, and tomorrow off, and the day after, and hundreds more days off.....

Well, we hired a band, they were great, all of 10 people showed up but no matter, was a blast. I got to get up and play a few, I put 20 lbs of sloppy joe through the smoker (we expected a few more attendees), and near the end of the night the sky opened up. Those with weather apps all claimed it was going north of us or "burning off" as it got here, but we got hammered and the lightning was dangerous close.

Well that looked like fun.  We actually had no harsh weather on the 4th for the 1st time in years.  Usually the lightening tends to out do the firework shows.  Its been so dry I was afraid of lighting up the place with a wind drifted rocket or something, so we didn't do fireworks besides some little bumble bees my mom brought with her.  Kayla was in WA on Mt Rainier over the 4th so it was pretty quiet as 4ths go for us.  Which is not a bad thing.

Several, but the sound was so loud that it overwhelmed every phone camera microphone that was used to take vids. A shame really, they were tight.
