Thanks, Nony. You guys have been a pretty good padded room for me all these years. You kept me from resorting...to the bottle...

Naw.

Hold the phones! Had a sudden showing today, we're told to expect an offer tonight or maƱana, and we had lowered the price yet!

Ready, set....COMMENCE TO CROSSING THOSE FINGERS!!

stetto

They lowballed us, and want us to pay closing.

I forgot about the horse traders in the market. We'll counter, of course, but I got no time for shoppers.

More snow today. I didn't figure shovel time into this operation either.

I hope Round Top is doin' good by you, Jaime. Wish I was there.

No, really.

Onepoint

So looking forward to that stuff.

I just got back with a stock trailer load of furniture and boxes. Looks like I will have another and we had the auction house take the majority of her stuff.  :eusa_doh:  And then there is what's left to trach and haul away.  Thankfully the weather is cooperating for the most part aside from some rain showers and wind.

I might have mentioned I enjoy moving just slightly less than getting road rash on fresh chip and seal going 75 MPH buck neked.

There's an image I'll never get out of my head. So, boots on?

We just got the text: They took our counter.

Let's hope this goes smoothly. Packing and trashing hundreds of dollars worth of belongings to get out of here in the most efficient manner is excruciating. I'm going to be leaving stuff behind stuff I would have never even considered selling. But trudge we must.

We feel each other's rash, Honcho...

Hope the rest of the deal goes well for you Stetto..

Low balling is common in buyers markets, as they expect a counter offer with what the buyer REALLY wants for their property....

We are in a sellers market here but have no plans to leave any time soon. But there are three massive housing developments underway which will add probably a thousand or more houses to the market...

stetto

We've been packing and cleaning out and it just continues...

But we've got the date set for buggout: Nov. 29. If we get out early enough I'd like to stop in Rapid City on night 1, That way there's a chance of visiting the Klers DURING DAYLIGHT HOURS.

Buckaroo, I'm bringing gallon jugs of nitro-meth for ya, 5%, 10%, 15%, none full but none near empty. Yes, they're 20 years old, but kept in a dank dark shed and well sealed that whole time. I hope you still run a glow engine or two...

T's talked me into bringing at least the unbuilt kits along. Won't be room for any finished planes, sadly.

11 days. And we keep getting interrupted. We had to vacate for 3 hours today for an "inspection".

OK, back into my hip waders...

jetmex

All kinds of houses for sale out here Stetto, we'll save one for you for when you get tired of shoveling snow and scraping ice off your covid mask.   :disturbed:

Good luck, my friend.  Moving is never fun.

Don't forget your Krispy Kreme hats!!
😂

Or the dog.  :disturbed:

My room is a mess, but bring out what you need to, I 'll make room.

Don't feel bad, I have been making trips to CO at least twice a week helping pack and trying to gather up 25 years of not only my moms stuff, but her moms stuff after she died and auction stuff her brother and her conspired on when he was alive.   We had an auction house come, sent most of the end tables and couch, spare bedroom set and whole lot of just "stuff", dishes, misc furniture, knickknacks, toys, 2 accordions, etc,  a 20' van truck and 2 pickups worth.  I still will end up making 3 trips with the stock trailer( already been down twice with it), and at least 2 with the SUV for boxes etc, and another one at least when its over to finish cleanup.

But if you think that is bad, I am NEVER moving voluntarily.  I am starting to believe it would be impossible for a mere mortal alone to move all this out, if only  to be lined up to be auctioned.   :eusa_doh:

I still have the Krispy Kreme hats. They reside now buried in a large tote somewhere..

I envy you, Honcho, no more than myself. This plain sucks.

And why human nature drives our friends to demand precious packing/coordinating time to "do a good bye get together" simply astounds.

And there are no dogs to worry about, but the Mama insists on bringing the cat in a bag. I'm just glad I don't have to ride with the cat....

stetto

We.
Are.
Here.

The Klers saved our butts yesterday with a relaxing break we really needed. Thanks guys!

Avoid Denver. That's all I'll say. Avoid Denver if your life means anything to you.

I'll update with some pics of the new digs when the I Just Drove Through Denver dt's simmer a bit...

Onepoint

Great to see you guys, I have had enough moving for another century or so.

balsum fractus

Glad you made it! I've also heard horror stories about driving in/through/around Denver.....

So, what part of the Springs did you manage to move to?  My wife's sister used to live there, actually in several different areas.
To understand true love, lock your dog and your wife in the trunk of your car for an hour and then see which one is glad to see you when you come back

Ron, we're just off Garden of the Gods. The tell me the locals call it "the old part of town". Doesn't look that old to me.

So we arrived last Thursday. I just heard this morning from the moving company that they'll start loading our stuff into "pods" this coming Monday and it should be on a truck on Wednesday. They have no idea after that, it'apparently up to the driver.

They loaded out of our house on the 29th, our agreement states that after 11 days if that truck isn't parked in front of the house they must refund us $700 per day until it is.

I think we're looking at a decent refund.

In the meantime I've caught a bug, mild but irritating. Lots of fatigue and, um....gastro-intestinal issues. Lovely, eh?

Anyway, petty ol' me is checking Fargo weather every day and gloating, no idea how long before that gets old.
