100 degrees out on the back porch right now.  At least the humidity is not as high as it usually is, so it feels like it's only 105...... :icon_mrgreen:

76 degrees, sunny and breezy.....sittin' on the deck ignoring the world......

Well that didn't last long!

Deluge!

Huge system moving through right now.....but it is a weird one......coming up from North Dakota/Minnesota up north through Winnipeg, then circling down to us from the north! I'm not sure where all the moisture came from, but heavy, heavy rain with 30- 40 knot wind!!

Deluge?  Is that anything like snnnnnn........ssssssssnsssss..........snnnsnnnsnnns......?

Only 94 here today.  There's a high pressure system above us that's keeping all the tropical stuff away, so the humidity isn't anywhere near what it usually is.  But there was enough of that Saharan dust in the air to make mud when I hit the windshield washer on the truck this morning.

Onepoint

Yesterday we hit triple digit hot by mid day and a nice dose of NM smoke to boot, but the cold front that had dumped the rain on Yellowstone and made such a mess swept down and by 7pm it was in low 70s.   Its mid 70s still, with a 35 mph wind. Now I have hay rolling up into balls all by itself.  Maybe I should patent the self baling hay or something.  I would look to see what they predict for tomorrow, but I suspect it will be as specific as saying we will have weather.

No, liquid H2O in copious quantities...... I was looking for my plans to build an Arc, but the torrential rain slowed down to showers and drizzle.

103 on the back porch right now.  Several more century days predicted before we get a cool front that drops us into the high 90s... :eek5:

T'under storms and downpours interrupted by brief periods of sunshine....weekend is supposed to be nice, though....

We have been vacillating between scorching and hot, i.e. near to or at triple digits or 90 for high, but its been dry, I saw the humidly dip down to 11 yesterday.  This weekend is only going to be 70s, lows in the 40s which will make morning water change fun, probably gonna want to wear the heavy coat I have hurried in the closet.    One thing we have had in spades this year is wind. Seems like I can count on one hand the days that were anywhere close to calm.

It's going to rain, they said.  And it did, everywhere but here!  They're going to try again today, but it might be better if I sacrifice a chicken after I wash my truck.  101 yesterday....

Super nice in the Springs. 80-90°, humidity steady @ 23%, light breezes...And no dew all over the deck furniture in the mornings!

I could get comfy with this...

Was blazing hot here yesterday and today, starting to cloud up a little this afternoon.  I spent a week waiting on swather parts, finally got it to together yesterday and enjoyed some AC cutting weeds, er hay..

Onepoint

And we got rain!  I had to sacrifice a field of hay, but man I don't care, we were getting pretty desperate. All stock ponds were dry and pastures burnt up, there was a video on facebook of a guy I know west of me 10 miles or so of dirt blowing off his corn field, that he had just that morning put 1/2" of water on with a pivot sprinkler.   We have gotten about 6/10s so far, still light rain, no hail, or high wind like yesterday that scattered windrows out to where you could not tell if I cut anything.

You would not think this stuff would cause so much stress, but every day with hot wind worry was building up, and this is a huge relief even if it won't do that much. It at least buys us some more time to irrigate and stretch grass out some`.

No rain here yet, but I thought it was going to.  Only good thing about that is that it only got to 85 degrees today.  Them what knows more about weather than I do still swear we'll get rain.  Someday....

We got a good half inch last night, expecting more every evening for the next week.

Yet they're banning aerial fireworks 🎆 regardless.
