We went from blustery winter type stuff to one day of spring and then got hot yesterday, 87 and blazing sun, I wore a T shirt and sunburned the heck out my arms.  Same today before the reality check this weekend of 50s and maybe a shot of snow and drizzle.

According to the movies, you rugged outdoorsy types have skin like leather and never sunburn........
😂

Well, it's like dainty leather, all wrinkly but white, because I have turned into a gnome in the winter months and just now have poked my head out of the cave.  Should do like the groundhog, "nope, too peoplely"

Onepoint

Winter just will not let go, not much moisture, but cold and windy for days again now. 40s for highs and 20s for lows don't make grass grow.

Had some pretty heavy thunderstorms last night, left us an inch and half of rain.  When I went out earlier this morning, the sky was blue to the west and gray to the east, but now the sun's out, 68 degrees, looks like it's going to be a nice day.

Honcho, I hear saddle soap is good for dainty leather, but don't use Armor-All afterwards.  It's got alcohol in it and may cause cracks.... :disturbed:

We're told to hunker down for up to two feet of snow tonight.

And here I am in falcebook jail again. Apparently among all the things one CAN post on one's page, video of a well spoken, well prepared parent exposing government payoffs to school board officials is "inciting violence" to the underlords at government controlled social sites.

At least I have Billy Boyle and Uncle Ike to keep me company...

We need to CNTL-ALT-DEL our whole society!!

And these so-called "weather forcasters". They predicted 2 feet of snow as late as 10 o'clock last night, we got under an inch...of rain.

Onepoint

We got a 1/2" or so of rain, and welcome it was over the snow they said might have come. Despite the predictions we would have wet spring, it has been dry again, better than last year but certainly nothing to brag about.  Its been cold and windy plenty, we just keep missing the wet.  In some cases I am thankful we dodged the 12 to 24" snows they have had north and south of us, unfortunately that doesn't make grass grow very well.

It has been quite pleasant up here.....warm enough for shirt sleeves, lots of sun, a bit of rain, but lots of wind.......and it is dry. I think most of the snow evaporated rather than melted, so the soil is probably pretty dry.....
Trees are starting to bud, grass is starting to turn green, and our first strawberry plant poked out of the soil......

Probably a good thing spring is as stubborn to come as winter is to leave.  I had to take Kayla to DIA last Saturday,  I drove through snow showers, I picked her up on Friday this week, and it was already noticeably greener. I notice the weeds are growing pretty good in the protected areas here.

I also realized I am a neolithic recluse after going into the real city, its like we aren't even the same species, but that's a whole other topic.  :icon_biggrin:
