Kayla has been here a day already, the weather turned, but not so bad as they said, barely a skiff so far.  Next couple of days is going to be spent over eating and doing nothing of consequence, at least that's the plan.

We'll be headed to son's house in Conroe tomorrow.  He's smoking a brisket and some prime rib, and the kids and I have an all out Nerf gun war planned to drive all the adults crazy.  Should be a fine day...

Merry Christmas everyone!  Just Billie Sue and I, we are having tamales and queso for supper tonight, and tomorrow we are going to have New York strip steaks and King Crab legs.

Dylan flew in Friday and it's been an overeating competition since. Not one snowflake has been seen and they wiped the storm forecast right off of history like the Soviets used to do with wrong-thinkers. Four inches and wind has magically become severe clear and calm!

Some sad news to share: My mother Mary Louise Riehle passed away Christmas Eve morning. No one called us, I learned today when a cousin texted me with condolences.

I have yet to hear anything from my family. I have a sister and three brothers.

So sorry to hear that, sure puts a damper on the season.   You are in our prayers brother.
