QuoteGotta be careful with that anymore Jaime, you start talkin Mae West, and some start thinking of you in a dress and makeup.

Well, ya know what they say, Honcho, if ya got it, flaunt it!   :icon_lol:  Stetto has better legs than I do, though..... :icon_mrgreen:

Better than you maybe, but the Buckaroo will ALWAYS have the best calves of any of us!!

I don't know, Carl may give me a run for the money.  :icon_lol:

I know for those northerners its may not be a big deal, but man we have had some fantastic northern lights the last couple nights.  Night before last was the 1st time I remember being able to see them in plain sight without using a camera, and the pictures have been incredible.

jetmex

We're too far south for the lights, but it wouldn't matter anyway because it's been raining for the last week and we wouldn't be able to see them.  It just stopped a few minutes ago, and now we have a bumper crop of mosquitos to go with all the wet. If this round of rain anything like last one, the sun will now come out and boil us all to death... :eek5:

Onepoint

Send some of that up here, we are in severe drought again.  :eusa_wall:

stetto

No drought here, but the cloud seeding they've been doing sans the will of the governed is making for some spooky weather. Hail season has commenced and now I'm looking for a padded cover for my truck...

jetmex

After a couple of 90+ degree days, it's raining again.  Not good news for a lot of people around here, as the flood waters still haven't receded in some places from the last storm.  Any of you who need rain are welcome to come take some of this.  And the mosquitos, too!

jetmex

Man, did we have a storm last night!  65mph winds here at the house made it rain horizontally.  It got a little exciting here for a few minutes wondering if the oak trees next door would be on the house.  There are uprooted trees and blown out skyscraper windows in downtown Houston, and a bunch of those big electrical transmission towers came down southwest of us.  We have power, but a bunch of people don't, and there are 90 degree temps coming..

wtxsflyr

Y'all got hit hard! We have a niece and nephew that live in Cypress.  Got pretty western in their area also.  Glad y'all didn't suffer any damage.

Onepoint

I saw the pics of the transmission towers that came down  :icon_eek: Do not want.

We are supposed to have a good chance of rain 1st of the week, Ill believe when we see it, we can measure rain in tenths since the 1st of March, its even drier than a couple years ago which was bad.

Dang near 90 a couple days ago, and this morning was 44 and damp, I dislike boomerang weather.

stetto

33° here this morning, and I put peppers out a week ago because the "forecast" called for nothing below the mid 40s.

Not gonna win this season either, I guess... :'(

jetmex

As usual, we went from one extreme to the other.  A week ago half the city was underwater.  Now they're still underwater and it's 96 degrees outside.  I'm beginning to believe that it's entirely possible for the humidity to be above 100%. I'm told the fishing is really good right now, though.  Right off the back porch.... :icon_mrgreen:

Onepoint

We got about 6/10" of rain a couple days ago, not much but welcome. But its cool, yesterday was windy, like 37mph steady and low 60s, right now is 62 and a good cold stiff breeze. Kinda ready for some nice spring weather, but what's going to happen is from this straight into summer I suspect.

stetto

Heh, I have a pile of "layers" on the camphor chest at the end of our bed, changes of clothes for different times of day. 75° was predicted for today, but won't get close to that. Tomorrow on the other hand will likely reach 85°, like it did yesterday. But it's a dry heat... :disturbed:
