I could use some of that dry heat here.  94 yesterday with 116% humidity.  At least most of the standing water has dried up and the mosquitos aren't swarming like they were a week ago...

Onepoint

we are lingering in some confused state that we are not sure what season we are supposed to be.  Warm, then a day of cool, though I think we are done with the 60s now.  Get a day of hot wind, then yesterday it was cloudy and sprinkled half the after noon on and off, not even enough to make the sidewalk damp, but too much to be able to mow. Now we are going to see 90s, with constant 25mph wind for the next 3 days.  Already had severe storms miss us barely and it just started the sever weather season, like 3" hail, tornadoes and torrential downpours.  Weather wise this year has been screwed up so far.

I'm thinking of a trip north. Soon. I need a serious break.

Onepoint

Annnd its summer, just like that. 90 and hot wind today.

Yep, you should, but whatsamatter, 9th hole post partum?  :icon_razz:

I actually don't mind the 90's,  it's the 100's+ that kill me,  we had our first 100 degree day, 107 with 60% humidity on Tuesday, today it was only 102!

Onepoint

Ugh, it was 96 in Ft Collins yesterday, going from the 50s over night to that was enough, you can keep them triple digits for a while.

We got home yesterday from an unplanned trip to the Olde Country greeted by 92° IN THE HOUSE.

When I turned on the A/C, bupkiss. Supposed to be hotter today.

Got a guy coming this afternoon. I know nothing about this stuff other than turning it up or down...at least it's a dry heat (25%).

96 degrees here right now, but not as humid as usual, so it only feels like 107.  It will be like that the rest of the week...

Onepoint

We may not be the levels you guys down south get, we scorched yesterday, 98 and a hot 25 mph w3ind all day, you could just se what little grass we have shrivel as the day went on. Supposed to be back in the 80s today, and maybe a chance of thunderstorms.

Mid 90s all week with humidity in the low 100s.  There are storms coming early next week, life rafts and Mae Wests are standing by...

Onepoint

We have missed most of the storms so far until today, and still missed the worst thankfully, but watched this one touch down west of us a few miles and the hail was about 10 miles west, we got a little quarter sized, but the wind tore off several good sized branches again.

Wow. Our local guessers have been batting +/- 5%. Their "severe" forecasts have been off by 100 miles or more every day for some time. They virtually guaranteed baseball size hail last week, and yes, it happened...in Kansas. But I spent over an hour duct taping quilts to my truck, for no more than some sprinkle and one 30mph gust.

Onepoint

It was even worse than I knew, lost internet last night after I posted, apparently the 300' radio tower we get our broadband off of went down in the micro burst wind as it went east of us, large trees uprooted, rail cars tipped over, power lines down, a few barns demolished and house roofs stripped. all about 10 or 12 miles east of us.

I am using my phone as a hotspot which works about 25% of the time, and that's my internet for the foreseeable future until they figure out how to put up another radio antennae

Onepoint

They must have found another tower to mount the radio to, because we had internet back the next day, but we have been baking since, I think we hit triple digits for 4 days straight.  Now we cool off with the chance of sever storms again.

The last round had 3 tornadoes local, did quite a bit of damage, took out 2 tractor dealers /salvage yard buildings across the road from one another between us and Scottsbluff, as well as a couple barns and out buildings and several pivot sprinklers south from a separate one.  They said the south one, on Vickis mail route, which would been east of us about 6 miles was an f3  :eek5: She showed pictures of scoured fields from hail and wind.
