We are good, that storm dropped an inch and a half in 38 minutes.  Billie Sue is currently in the hospital, she had her osteomy reversal surgery done yesterday.

Onepoint

Wow, we have seen an inch and half all summer since may.

Hope she is doing well this morning, as well as the worrier in charge right now.  8)

She is doing better this morning, she was sick to her stomach most of yesterday.  They finally got an anti nausea medication that worked. Her surgeon came in this afternoon and finally started her back on clear liquids.  She hadn't had any food intake since last Wednesday.

Give our best to Billie Sue, Carl.  Hope she's feeling better today!

Back to hot and muggy here.  94 yesterday.

Thanks guys,  hoping that she gets to come home today.  Dr hasn't been in yet this morning. They put her on a regular diet yesterday. All normal gut functions appear to be working. Well,  she called at about 6:30 yesterday evening saying she was getting released.  I had to hurry up with finishing my chores and run to Abilene to the hospital, almost an hour away, get her and bring her home.  Things are so much better now.

Glad to hear Billie Sue is home and doing well!

Back to just damn hot here.  96 degrees right now. It was supposed to rain, but it didn't happen.  Might have to wait for the next hurricane for that.

Onepoint

Yeah we were 104 for about all of the afternoon yesterday, it was a scortcher, supposed to be hot until Thursday, then switch up with 70s for high and maybe some rain. Which would figure, I just got the swather running late last week and have a bunch of hay down or ready to be cut.  :eusa_doh:

The new word du jour around here as of yesterday morning is "monsoon".

Inch and a quarter last night, more expected through the week. Temps which had been mid 90s will drop by 10-20° for a while.

First pepper blossoms are starting to come, only three months late 🙄

Onepoint

Yeah they promise its heading our way. so just in case I will cut some hay to sacrifice to the rain god so we might actually get some.

I got the last of my hay baled Sunday.  Just in time for about 10 days of record heat. My weather station showed 116 this afternoon! But it it out in direct sunlight. Official temp was shown as 108.

Onepoint

Ugh, we are not that hot, but we have hit 104 / 105 a couple times this last week set or tied some records.  I should have been done with 2nd cutting by now, but something went wrong with the hydraulics on my swather, and even the dealer mechanics can't figure it out, got it working halfassed right now, enough to cut, but it was a full month being down so put me way behind.

I have had my fair share of breakdowns,  lost the bushing in the cutter bar on my mower conditioner, ripped the lacing out of a belt on my baler, had the A/C compressor on my tractor explode (literally).  Hope you get the hydraulics figured out and back to working like it is supposed to.

Onepoint

I saw the exploded pump, that was wild.

Damn guys, now I don't feel so bad.  The only thing that happened to me this week was a failure of the left hand thread flobulator rod bearing on my GrassMauler 2346.2, which caused the main retract actuator to implode, spraying headlight fluid and flight line all over the damn place.  Now the double dumper injected carburetor blower won't inject AND the damn thing won't cool, so now I have to sit on the porch and drink warm beer.  Of all the luck.... :disturbed:  :disturbed:  :disturbed:

Seriously, hope you guys get your machines back up and running.  I sorta know what it's like when a bunch of them all break at once!

102 here today...

I went in a chatted with the mechanics today, Basically the combobulator isn't working, so one would think it must be discombobulating, but no, its actually over combobulating.  That was maybe not the actual technical jargon, but I get the idea they have as much clue to what its doing as I do.
