Well, we had a cold front come through on Friday afternoon.  Got some spotty showers through the weekend that resulted in a little over an inch of rain total.  Then Sunday evening it started raining and it hasn't quit as of now.  Right now we are just over 9 inches, and still raining.  The creek is running good, and my stock tank is now full and running around the spillway. Temp right now is 68.

holy cow 9"? I bet you are freezing after the triple digits you had.

We got a 50% chance of showers tonight and tomorrow but if we get any it won't be inches. Temps are going from mid to high 90s to 80s for a few days.  If it were for the shorter days and cool mornings it would feel like mid July rather than Sept.

Summer over, maybe?  It hasn't hit 90 here since late last week and it has sorta rained a little on and off the last few days.  Weather guessers say a cool front is coming, but I'll believe that when it happens.

Rained some more overnight and this morning bringing our total to 10.5 inches.

I think fall just fell.  68 degrees this morning, the start of a beautiful weekend leading up to a week full of another tropical storm.   :disgust:

Well that was a kind of a shock to the system, we have been warm, not in the triples but lots of 90s and staying fairly warm at night, but last night we got down to 43. Sign of things to come.

That would be nice,  we are pushing 100's again, with high humidity.

So Francine was a no show, and now we're back to summer again with high 90s for the rest of the week. We got about two minutes worth of rain, then some really nice mornings and now it's over.  It'll get cooler in October.  Maybe...

We had a thunderstorm roll through last evening, dropped 4/10ths in short order, but man the lightening was as bad as any we have ever had. Spared the trees around the house but several hits across the road as I watched, one must have vaporized the water on a tree, because it had a small mist of steam surround it for a few seconds. In a square mile around us the lightening indicator map showed about a dozen hits compared to the 2 or 3 when lightening is bad.  It was like the gods playing lawn darts.

Fortunately with the rain no fires that I know of, which is good, because it seems half of WY has been on fire.  Here its been almost of month for any rain at all and despite being a good one, it was hot and sometimes breezy so it was back to bone dry.

:icon_lol:   Probably worse, but still better than the local coffee clutch at the convenience store.  :icon_lol:

Whoa, 37 this morning, and I have been complaining its been chilly in the high 40s.  Unfortunately this cold front brought no rain that they promised.

It's coming our way, supposed to be here this evening.  Good chances for rain the next 4 days.
