Well we got some more wet, not too much, about .6". But we dodged the bullet of tornadoes, high wind and hail, just barely. A couple miles east had every thing that was up flattened by hail.  Scottsbluff had many large trees and power poles go down due to high straight line wind.  North of us I saw something about 1.5" and washout on a road, but not sure where exactly. Tornadoes all over the place east and south from NE CO to central NE. We lost internet for about 3 hours, fortunately after the worst had passed over us already.

What a difference a couple rains make, looks like I will have to mow for real when it dries out.  Might be more today, high in the 50s and windy, but far less chance for severe stuff.

Well, Stetto, it's either that or endless winters!  And, like I said, there aren't any skeeters.  Yet.   So far...And it's not quite as humid in wackoland Austin. Not quite....sort of.... :disturbed:

80 degrees here now on the way to 92.  Summer came a bit early this year.

Ahyuh, don't tell me that gub'mint cloud seeding don't get no results... :icon_evil:

Man I hope its not a sign of what is coming this summer.  Thunderstorm rolled through late last night, and some big hail wit it, not much thankfully, but a few quarter size or more making some big thunks on the roof.  Lot of lightening too.  Mostly we get lucky dodging it, but once in a while we get it bad.  Kind of defeats the whole benefit of rain when it just mows off everything that grew.   :sadness:

I think we can say the drought has been paused if not broken entirely, is been weirdly low overcast to foggy and drizzly for 2 days straight, and supposed to last through Monday, getting about a 1/2" every 24 hours average since Thursday night now, with intermittent thunder storms. A few miles North of us had 1 1/2" of rain in a a half hour and 2 inch hail from one, so its kind of a whack a mole if you get the bad stuff.

I'm sure the people huddles under their awnings and the campers by all the lakes in the area are cussing, but I'm not minding it so much.

We had bad storms to the north of us yesterday.  There was a tornado and hail the size of a cd up in the panhandle.  We got 2/10 of an inch overnight.

Onepoint

I saw a weather chaser had posted a pic on facebook of a hail stone the size of a cantaloupe.  :eek5:

We had a hell of a storm last night.  Wind gusts to 70mph and I don't know how much rain we got.  There are tree limbs and garbage cans all over the 'hood this morning.  80 degrees now and the humidity is in the 100+ range...

stetto

Ugh. And here we come... :eusa_doh:

We had two days of solid, miserable drizzle with a bolt of lightning mixed in. Denver and east got the wrath of .gov cloud diddling, numerous tornadoes  and torrential rains.

Today we're supposed to get the real thing, I can see thunderheads growing to the west of me...

...and the Air Force Academy graduation is Thursday, more storms forecast.

Onepoint

We have had more rain off and on all day yesterday, not much in the gauge, buts its finally getting soggy and mushy. This morning was fog, visibility about 100'.  Its supposed to warm up now, weeds are already in overdrive.

stetto

Lots of hail here yesterday. Quarter sized. The Academy graduation looks to be wet, it's already heavy overcast and they start @ 9am.

Do the Thunderbirds perform in this stuff?

Onepoint

Once again we are were in a seem between some harsh stuff, picked up another .6 of rain though, and supposed to be rain showers this morning, through Thursday.  what a difference a month of storms ns has made.  Its almost lush around here.

Lotsa rain last night, along with some big thunderstorms.  Power was on and off for several hours, finally came back for good around 6 this morning.  More on the way, they say, but not as much.  San Antonio got hit pretty hard by rain and flooding.

77 degrees and 137% humidity right now.

Onepoint

We have been pleasant to too warm, hitting 90s and muggy, for us anyway.  Been mowing like crazy to keep up, and knocked hay down a couple days ago, to be able to time it right catch a thunderstorm last night and get it a little rained on. Timing is everything in this bidness.

Have to say that was not a worry just a month or so ago.

stetto

We're heading into prep for Texas mode, 90s and semi-humid. OK, maybe not as humid, 30+% for the week. Better than a poke in the eye I guess.

We had an Osprey flyover the other day. Real close, almost directly over the house. So rare here, as the only Marine presence in the Springs that I know of are recruiters and retired vets. His "wings" were at +/- 30°, which made it more fascinating to watch...
