Frazz

Hey, that was pretty good.
To understand true love, lock your dog and your wife in the trunk of your car for an hour and then see which one is glad to see you when you come back

zrct02

She was pretty good.  Stetto, do you have any clips on you tube?

stetto

Sorry Roger, my "pro" video guy was one of the no-shows, and I don't have a video camera, believe it or not.

I did record the evening on a series of 1/8" master reference tapes. I'm going to be transferring to digital when I get a few hours free.

We're getting calls from a lot of no-shows who regret not coming. Apparently word is getting around what a great night we had. They don't want dropped from the list.

Roger, are you and the Missus anywhere near Kerrville?

jetmex

Stetto, if I remember correctly, Roger is in Giddings, TX, about halfway between Houston and Austin.  Kerrville is west of San Antonio.  Their high school mascot is the Fighting Antlers.... :eek5:

Sounds like you had a great time.  David (my younger son) would be salivating if he could sit in with you.  He got an internship at the church over the summer to learn the ins and outs of audio engineering.  They do a full blown musical every Sunday and David's been running the sound board for over a year.

Got any Steely Dan worked into your set yet?  :icon_mrgreen:

Not real far.  We take day trips there on occasion.

A lot of the talent who will play in our living room/back yard make annual appearances at the Kerrville Folk Festival. This year is from May 26 to June 12 at the Quiet Valley Ranch. If you've been there you may have even seen David or Charlie perform. They have a website, kerrville-music.com, but it isn't opening for me today.

I saw the doc yesterday. He put me on heroin hydromorphone, flexeril, and put me back on 1800 MG of gabapentin/day. Last night I spent defending the 'stead from a zombie attack, it was nice to forget about the spine for a few hours... :disturbed:

Were they purple zombies, or the harmless yellow ones???

Seriously, though..is this a re-occurence of the same back problem, or something different?

stetto

Same spine, one disc down. This one is worse, as with the first bout I was getting shooting pains. This time it's a constant, deep ache in the back of my right arm, all the way to the fingertips. There is no position that I could find that lends relief. I've wondered if this is not akin to the "ghost pain" of an amputee, because nothing eases it; not the morphine, not advil, not the gabapentin or even fistfulls of Advil. My right hand is more palsied than last time too. I can't hold a fork like humans do anymore, and my guitar playing is miserable.

But they want me to "go through channels", so I'll get an MRI sometime this week, go see my GP (he's the guy who moT posted his pic a few years back with a MASSIVE stag), who will send me back to the neurosurgeon, who will set up surgery, and I will be the stiffer for it. For some reason I can't wait...

Zombies were the yellow variety, reaching through doorways and windows and fence slats...I was shooting arms and hands off for the most part. But they were BIG ones. :eek5:

Man, if they can't can fix all this crap you're going through, you are going to be a real mess by time you reach 117 !

It's been a while, and I'm slapping myself  :eusa_doh: for not mailing all of you an invitation...Ronny Cox is here THIS SATURDAY NIGHT. I've been rammin' around like one o' those silly toys that ram around and get nothin' done now for three weeks...

We're going to have "over" 50 people in the house for this. The weather is supposed to turn on Saturday, gad it's been a nice Fall. COME ON GLOBAL WARMING!!

I've been over to the winery we showcase twice now. Can't seem to hook up with ownership. Their marketing rep told me I'd get a break if I bought direct from them. One of the owners is a former pro jazz musician, go figure. It'd be nice if they'd pony up some bottles gratis, but hey, this is a sh!t economy, and a guy's gotta make a buck, ey?

I will post pics at some point....

...Unless there's a crack about a bumper...

Onepoint

What, are you blaming that on a cracked bumper now?  :disturbed:

stetto

OK, you had your chance, Hayfeeder Boy...

Onepoint

Heh, well I should just be there live and then you can't blackmail me, but alas I'm still trying to get finished farming for the year before it sn.... the weather changes on Saturday.

stetto

Had to mention winter coming, dintcha...ON SATURDAY NO LESS...At least the winds are supposed to "ease" by then... :sadness:

Got a call from a friend who does work for the big outdoor country festival people in town--They are upset that this little pipsqueek in Hayseed's Ass ,MN can book a name like Ronny Cox...I thought about sending them an invitation...Naw...

We're just about packed right now, and I know of several invitees who are simply going to show up without calling first...damm 'em anyway... :eusa_clap:

OK, gotta go out to the truck and find that camera..................................... :icon_confused:
