Well,  I have told y'all about my little truck adventures.  Update.  I bought myself a big truck, and trailer, and leased them on with ACME (same place I had my little truck leased on).  Here is a pic of the truck:

It is a 99' Peterbilt, 500 HP Cummins, 10 speed. The trailer is a 03' Fontaine, 48' step deck with a 10' spread axle. Here is a pic of the trailer:

1st load was these 8' steel cylinders that I picked up in New Braunfels, TX and delivered to Lewiston, ME.

Been doing lots of drilling rig moves, here is an air compressor skid from one of the rig moves...

This piece is an expansion joint that goes in an oil refinery, picked it up in New Braunfels and took it to Houston,  this thing was 32' long, 8' wide, and 8' high, and weighed 64,000#'s.

Thought y'all might like to see what I have been up to.

Wow, Carl went trucking in a big way.  Good for you.  Trucking has not been my calling, I just want to run over people after about ten minutes of traffic.

Pretty cool Carl.  Looks like you found a fun calling and even get paid for it :notworthy:  Say, is that big box behind the driver a place to store hay for all o` those horsies?  :eusa_think:

Does Billie get to go with you on these road trips?  Cant remember if you said or not, but would be a great way to see the country.

To understand true love, lock your dog and your wife in the trunk of your car for an hour and then see which one is glad to see you when you come back

I though your were supposed to be retired?!!!    My brother did the same thing after he "retired" from the air force...the lifestyle suits him - though he prefers to haul liquid bulk stuff (less work loading and unloading).  Me - not a chance! After the few trips we have done lugging our rv trailer around, I don't have the temperment or patience for that sort of thing. My hats off to you, Carl! Enjoy your travels!!

Thanks guys,  I am really enjoying it.  Most of the time I am home at night.  Billie Sue has gone with me a time or two on mostly short runs.  Not sure if y'all have heard about the new oil and gas discovery in south Texas or not, but it is called the Eagle Ford Shale.  It has the economy and job market booming down here.  That is one of the main reasons that I got back into a big truck.  Most of what we are doing is drilling rig moves.  Wayne, I pulled a tanker years ago,  hauling hydrochloric acid.
