Rain is a welcome relief from the hot spell....we were choking on smoke from several big wildfires yesterday, so the rain (at times heavy) helped cool the temps , clean the air, and hopefully helped the firefighters.......

Big wedding next week, so we are heading out to the Sunny (and hot!) Okanagan....

Wednesday evening a storm rolled in, and dumped 4 inches of rain in 38 minutes.  We have a wet weather creek that runs through our place, and it was rolling.  I will see if I can get pics up.

Best I can do on the video,  can't figure out how to get it to photobucket.

That works.  We get flash floods with that kind of rain.

We were supposed to have some gully washers all last weekend into the middle of the week, we got about 4/10 over 4 days. Around us a few miles in any direction  had a couple inches.

We dried out and got hot through the middle of July into the 1st of August, when I was trying to get everything wet.   I cut about 30 acres of hay and we get 1.5" of rain and showers every day this week.  :eusa_wall:

"I'll take 'Guess the Weather' for $400, Alex......"

" for $400, the answer is ' You don't normally expect to see this fall from the sky in early September........maybe in December, but not this early in the Fall:"

Onepoint

Yeah? don't feel bad, its possible that even we are going to wake up with white stuff falling Thursday morning.   I still have all of 3rd cutting to go and just had the water shut off.  :eusa_wall:

I see a freeze warning for eastern Wyoming. Sorry to hear. We started covering tomatoes last night. I was really hoping for a warmer fall this year. Ah well, so it goes...

Yeah, woke up to a light white dusting in the windshields, and 32 degrees.  Not sure how cold it got overnight but I suspect that was the worst of it at dawn, they were saying some low areas could get down to 25 if it cleared off early enough.

Yesterday was fun, I had to be on rail cars for half the day with it drizzling and hovering just under 40 degrees and a stiff breeze at times for good measure, my clothes were damp to soaked when I finally got on the road at noon,  it turned to mixed snow about dark.  Hard to acclimate when we hit 90 on Monday.  :eusa_doh:

Shorts and T-shirt weather is back.....and on a weekend too! Got some overdue painting done on the outside and got most of the lawn chairs and stuff packed away .....

Onepoint

I pulled the air conditioner last week, now they are saying 95 for Thursday.  But then again they said it was going to be 77 and severe clear yesterday and we had  fog until noon and 68 was all,  so  I suspect they just throw darts at a chart for prediction.

Must be monsoon season.  We had three and a half inches of rain at the house yesterday and it's still raining today.

We don't usually shut the air conditioner down until December....  :eek5:

We ended up in the 90s for the last 3 days, I'm about tempted to put it back in!

Nice here, dry, upper 60s to mid 70s with a threat of 80s in our near future. I have everything in from the eighth acre but Brussels and tomatoes, even got some tilling done. I'd like this to last through thanksgiving.

Onepoint

It had better last that long, because it seems like that's how long it will take me to finish haying.
