Global warming? This is the 3rd year in a row we have had snow or a heavy frost on the ground on may 1st.  Maybe I misunderstand that global warming thing, but isn't it supposed to be warmer?

stetto

Up here we've had two very mild winters in a row followed by nicer and earlier spring weather. I jest with the global warming, but before Krakatoa exploded there were reportedly vineyards on Greenland. My hope is that we're finally getting back to normal.

Don't burn up Nony.

I didn't know there was any Canada left to catch fire....

Oh you heard.....

We're okay...just hot dry and windy,,,,,,the whole city of Fort Mac is being evacuated, much of it destroyed by fire.....

The floods appear to be over for the moment and it's been absolutely beautiful here for the past few days.  Lows in the 60's, highs in the 80's and a breeze to keep things even more bearable.  I can live with this for a while longer before hell sets in.

stetto

Yeah Nony, our local news is full of you guys this week, when they aren't bragging about the FOUR NIGHT concert engagement of Garth Brooks.

Jaime, we've had that 80s for a couple days now, without the 30+ inches of warmed snow.

I bookmarked the webcam at the beach resort we stayed at in Port Aransas, I notice the sun comes up about an hour later for you guys than up here.

We went from 40s for highs to mid 80s, and then we are supposed to be back down in the 50s over the weekend, my body doesn't know what the hell is going on. Do I sweat?, do I shiver? what?!?

stetto

Yup, it's Spring. Been in the 70s, even 80s, last two days in the 50s, expecting a freeze on Saturday morning. Everything is green and blooming, not sure how all that will fare.

Going to Denver for four days tomorrow. Anyone want to meet up? :disturbed: :icon_mrgreen: :P

Really, dang it, I just ran down to CO yesterday, if you would have told me sooner I could have made it next week.  Watcha doing down here?

stetto

Terrin has a BFF celebrating her 50th tomorrow. They're throwing a surprise party, I guess we're the surprise. We'll be in Littleton til Tuesday morning.

Our flight is tonight @ 7:45. Wouldn't ya know it but my mom's favorite presidential candidate is in Fargo today, ginning up the Bern. Hector field only has four concourses, all linked at the center of the terminal. Can you imagine the circus we may have to navigate to get on a plane? 😲

Oh, and I haven't flown since 1998. They tell me I'll have to surrender my shoes at the gate?

Stetto, I think all that sssssss........snnnnnnnn.......white stuff melting is all running down here.  We had four inches of rain in two hours yesterday afternoon and it's still raining now.  The water came up to the sidewalk here at the house, which is about knee deep if you're standing at the mailbox by the curb.  It was thigh deep at the intersection a few doors up from where my daughter lives just around the corner from my house.  Haven't seen that much water in the street here in a long time.

Looks like it's time to lock myself in my room and build some model airplanes....

Its been so dreary and damp here that this morning my wife told me I am looking at at it all wrong and that I should enjoy the free teleportation of Scotland to here that saved me all that money on travel.   Which would be great if I had going to Scotland on my need to do list.

Dunno about Scotland,  but Denver has really been a drag for weather. Honcho, really sorry we can't get together this weekend, but we will coordinate a visit this summer. Life is just too short.

No problem, sometimes things just don't work out, but sounds like you enjoyed yourself anyway, hows the head this morning?  :icon_cool:

Our world tour continues, yesterday Scotland, today London, visibility is literally about 50 feet.  I suspect tomorrow we will slip over to the emerald isle, with it being so green.
