We're having breakfast at the airport, was served my last of an incessant line of alcoholic beverages at around 9 last night. It's London here too, but back home in the tundra they're on their way to a glorious sunny 70 degrees.

The head is not good. Haven't really slept in 3 days. These 50 year olds are a rough bunch!

Sun is out for the first time in nearly a week.  78 degrees and the humidity is actually not too bad at the moment.  The weather guessers think it will stay nice like this for at least a few more days, hope they're right!  At least I won't have to water the grass for another day or two....

Hey Roger, did you stay dry?

Onepoint

It got to 75 yesterday and today, with the sun and all, I thought I had sprung a leak I was sweating so bad.

I bet Stetto is finally maybe just recuperating from his wild weekend. :)

Ya think?  We haven't heard from him in a few days.  Too young to die, too old to rock 'n' roll!!   :icon_mrgreen:

OK, here I am, what's left of me.

I'm not made of the stuff they dished out last weekend. It's the next weekend and I'm still catching up. We have 3 weeks til Dylans graduation party and I'm in a remodel that will take 4. The rock n roll is become political, the band wants to hire a 60s Era keyboard player and I'm aginnit.

But I'm here and I'm....uh, here, and I have an 8th acre to put in and the weather here ROCKS and the second till starts tomorrow and I'm not gonna get a minute to myself for the foreseeable ever and a drive to Hawks Springs will make my summer later....

OK, are we up to date?

stetto

The wind got downright NASTY yesterday. Thought the house would be on its side this morning. A front went through and dropped a quarter inch of rain, and you'd figure the wind would quit, but no, blowing the trees almost over again today. I'm supposed to be planting the 8th acre in this...

Yeah we had a bad wind Saturday, out of the east and south east which is the opposite direction we usually get it.

Not dry. Ground is so soaked a 1/2" of rain means 1/2" of standing water.

balsum fractus

We got lots and lots of rain. Strange as it may seem, it is very welcome!

stetto

3/4 inch yesterday, most in a downburst around midnight. Grass grew 5 inches since then. We're on notice for t-storms for the foreseeable. Mosquitoes are going to be thick this summer.

Weather guesser here just mentioned 16+ inches falling north and west of Houston. You and Joyce got your hip waders on today, Roger?

jetmex

Been raining here since late yesterday afternoon.  2 1/2 inches at the house last night and Roger is right.  Ground is soaked, so it's all standing.  The mosquitos are having a field day, the grass grew a foot since I mowed it last weekend and all the lakes in the state are finally filling up, so I guess the drought is over.

Sure would be nice to see the sun sometime soon.  The upside to that is it hasn't hit 100 or even 90 yet....

zrct02

We got at least 12" the other day.  2 1/2" in morning + 3 1/2 in afternoon + overflowed 6" rain gauge.

Onepoint

Sheesh, that about what we get all year normally.  We have hada a few sprinkles but its starting to dry out a little, I see the highs are supposed to be getting in the high 80s toward the end of next week, so I suppose this cool wet spring is about over for us.

stetto

Were in the 20-30 inch/year neighborhood, but a goodly portion of that comes frozen. You Texans need to stay dry and keep us posted.
